Rumours

on July 24, 2012 - 11:55am

DO NOT BELIEVE RUMOURS UNLESS THERE IS EVIDENCE TO PROVE THEY ARE TRUE!

Fact:
- There is concrete evidence to back up the statement (a picture, a link to the source you heard it from).
- It has been announced on from an official source. These include the band member's official twitter accounts or the @MCRofficial twitter, the news section of this website or said by a member of the band in a video.

Fiction:
- The rumour is vague.
- There is no evidence or official sources.
- Think about it logically. Where did this information come from? How did that person know?

*Repost* Enforcement of self harm rule

on July 10, 2012 - 1:55pm

TL;DR: Posting about self harm is against the term and conditions which you agreed to when you signed up for the website. If you post about it, it will be deleted.

Hey Everyone!

It's the Mod Squad, popping in to give you guys a small reminder of the rules. We all know everybody hates spamming and hate posts, and we all know that we have to be excellent with each other and not post pictures of the bands family... but the most important rule is the "no self harm posts" rule.

We understand that life can be hard for everyone, because we all come from different walks of life.

Question:

on April 21, 2012 - 2:06pm

What are some things that MCR have taught us? To be accepting of fans? Not to be violent? Not to be elitist? That nobody is better than anybody else? We're all equal? So why are so many people posting blogs about being a "real" fan?

It really bothers me when people say "real" or "true" fan. If you like the music, you're a fan. It doesn't matter if you've listened for 10 minutes or 10 years. It doesn't matter if you have only heard one song or if you know the lyrics to every single song. If you like the sound, you're a fan.

Just because you know all the lyrics to all the songs or know all the

Transmissions

on March 29, 2012 - 8:17am

For those of you that weren't sure what the purpose of the transmissions page was, I'll try and explain it as best as I can! Basically, the radio was used as a promotional tool in the run up to Danger Day's release. It introduced fans to the Danger Days concept so we had a taste of it before the CD was released.
It began with the channels (e.g. "WKIL", "BLND") playing static, similar to they are now but with sound. Over a period of time, some of them started playing songs ("Goodbye Horses" and "Horse With No Name" are just a couple).
One of them was the sound of heavy static, and if you

Just because you know all the lyrics to all the songs or know all the band member's names does not make you better than anybody else, and if you think for a minute that you're better than anybody else for being "true" or "real"... well, that's just dumb.

Peace and love,

For the love of Bob, please use your brains! Gerard is not back on drugs, and any rumours you hear about Frank or anybody else are untrue. I'm shocked that people could even think so lowly of their favourite band.

If you take nothing else away from this blog, take away this:

DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING UNLESS THERE IS EVIDENCE TO PROVE IT!

One of them was the sound of heavy static, and if you waited a while you could faintly hear drums in the background, shortly followed by the national anthem (presumably from "Goodbye, Dr Death").
Bear in mind Danger Days wasn't out yet, so nobody knew what the heck it was! Eventually, the different channels started playing video clips of "Fact News" and "surveillance tapes", which again confused everybody as we had no idea what was going on at the time. You can see all of the videos that were shown on there here:

http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL094F84119CE91EA5 (These are really worth a watch as they're the exact videos that were shown on the radio... I'm sure you can imagine the confusion they caused when nobody knew what "Danger Days" or "killjoys" were yet!)

Obviously, Danger Days has been out for quite a while now, so there isn't much need for the transmissions page, hence why the radio just plays static. There are a few things that remain in tact:

- Press the lightning bolt and you get a list of ways to share it.
- Press the "X" and it opens mychemicalromance.com in a new page.
- Click the numbers in a certain order and it takes you to a secret page.

I hope that was informative for those of you that didn't know about it, and no, I won't tell you the secret code :P It's not hard to figure out, so go and play! :)

So, I was lucky (or stupid) enough to go to four of the eight UK tour dates, and I made a diary/collection of videos and pictures. It only contains one, maybe two setlist spoilers in case you don't want to know the setlist yet... it's basically all the random stuff Gerard says and does between songs, and fillers between songs/intros to songs.

I'd really appreciate if you could watch/comment (on the actual youtube video?)! Pretty please? It took me six hours to make!

MCR were INCREDIBLE at Wembley and Birmingham. I cannot possibly even explain it... ♥

I managed to meet Ray, Frank and Mikey after Birmingham, although Gerard didn't come out as he had phone interviews :(

Ray came out first on his own, and was so relaxed and friendly. I gave him a present for not only MCR, but all the crew/roadies too, which he thought was awesome.

Then about half an hour later, Frank and Mikey came out. I asked Frank if I could be cheeky and ask for a hug, and he asked what cheeky meant and we had a little conversation about it :D I also thanked him and Mikey for taking their time out to come out meet fans.

I then asked Mikey for a hug too, which I don't think very many people did (and I got one of course!). I apologised to Mikey and said it must be awkward to hug all these people you don't know! He also said he liked my mask (which I gave to somebody to give to Gerard, whether Gerard actually got it or not is a different matter :[ ), which was awesome :D

Then me and my friend asked Mikey and Frank which charity they wanted us to raise money for (we're planning a sponsored MCRmy walk in killjoy outfits) and they said Make A Wish xD

It was so amazing ♥

I have post-gig depression already D: But it's okay, because I'm going to see them in Cardiff and Newcastle next week too :D
