I bought this a long time ago. I think that it arrived on Halloween. It is the best thing that I have bought in my “adult” life, even though I was 15. The box itself is beautiful, the book is filled with art and lots of info. This album was more of a movie in my head and less of an Audio disc. The music is great, but the vision I got in my head was spectacular and epic. That of parades, summer, a teenage naive love, departure, the end of summer, end of a naive love, and growth. This album for some reason made me very strong. I was the kid that sat quietly in class, let my emotions carry me to depression, and I was very weak. This album made me feel strong. I became more of a man and less of an emotional teen. I saw that my dad was not gonna be here with me forever, and as corny as it sounds, Wrlcime To The Black Parade, made a very strong bond between me and my dad. I hope everyone here owns a copy of this great album, especially the limited box edition!

This book that I hold in my hands is sincerely amazing! Basically the first ½ of the book is Gerard’s writing, drawings and feelings throughout the album making process…yet soo much more. I feel as if I opened Gee’s head and cross examined it, his words are so well chosen and encompass his personality in every way. He [and the other members] thanked and wrote a section on individual people that contributed to The Black Parade; in most Gerard expressed his love for them. (Gee is such a sweetheart <3)
The design of the book itself has an air about it…the pictures as you read (since they are mostly blury and faded as if they were very old from the turn-of the century) seen to look at you. This may sound a tad crazy on my part but I kept having this feeling while reading some of the pages in Gerard’s section.

Ray and Frankie went through each song individually (Their commentaries were in the track list order) and Ray even explained “Kill all Your Friends.”
The Black Parade in Gerard’s words was written at a time when MCR needed “something with social commentary, a healthy dose of black humor, a sprang and tasteful dose of irony, and unapologetic self expression.” And that is exactly what they have accomplished in this album.

I have this, it's a great thing to have for any big MCR fan, I love the booklet with all the concept sketches and behind the scenes stories in it. The prints are great. The only problem is that the CD doesn't come with a separate case, so if you want to take the CD with you somewhere you have to put it in another case or carry around the box of everything else.
Otherwise, awesome product. =]

This is a great deal!
I originally got mine at F.Y.E for $40 (To my belief that these were sold out and they ceased production), and it was still worth the money. The pictures feel rough just as like old documents and pictures. The tracklisting is hung up on my wall and looks great! The making of the album booklet features amazing pictures with great quality and an eerie feeling that fits the whole special edition, as well as the music itself. As I opened this for the first time, I was wondering how many goodies were in here, and if I would ever reach the bottom.
I recommend this to anyone
