Vienna. Not many of you will know Vienna. In fact probably none of you. But she was the best member of the fanbase probably before you even knew MCR existed. I met her when I joined the MCRmy nine years ago, but she had already established her title as "MCRmy mom" by then. EVERYONE who was part of the MCRmy Street team during the revenge and black parade era knew and loved Vienna. Even the band knew and loved Vienna. She has fought cancer before, but this time it was too determined. Not even Vienna, the strongest and most inspirational women I've ever met, could beat it. She fought with grace and determination, but eventually there was nothing she could do but accept her fate. She was completely at peace with the situation, and in her final weeks surrounded herself with loved ones. Even then she still only cared about them, not herself. This morning her pain ended, and now she will look over the whole MCRmy from above. I know none of you guys probably even care, but if you want to see just how many people she touched, just look at her Facebook page "The V-Team". Even Frank retweeted a message about her. RIP Vienna, I'm glad you are no longer suffering and I know you wouldn't want us to be sad, but the MCRmy is mourning. Our family has lost it's momma.

There's a lot of posts about how stressed people are over going back to school/starting high school, so I wanted to tell you some home truths. You've probably heard a lot of this before, maybe from your parents or a teacher, but maybe hearing it from someone who's been there and done that will help. I hope I can anyway :) 1. Once you're out of school, no one from school matters anymore. You never have to talk to anyone you don't want to again. That slutty bitch? Did I hear she had a kid? That one who skipped loads of lessons? Didn't I hear he was working at McDonalds? You literally will never have to talk to these people again! 2. You don't want to be the kid who works at McDonalds. School might be boring and it might seems like it goes on forever, but once you finish school you have to pay for any other education you want. Therefore if you fail at school, you either end up as the kid who works at McDonalds, or you suddenly realise that you should have listened at school as you now need to pay in order to learn stuff you could have learnt at school. When you're trying to hold a job and pay the bills, you won't have the time or money to go back into education, so it really is so important that you try your hardest at school. 3. Ignore everyone else. Why should they get a say in your life? What right do they have to put you down or make you nervous? Who are they to you and who will they be to you in five years? Chances are in five years you won't see them again, so why should it matter what they think of you? 4. Time goes faster than you think. You might think school is crap, but man would I love to go back to school! Once you finish, don't think you'll be seeing your friends every day. You'll be working probably longer hours than you were at school for, so make sure you work hard to get a job you like. However... 5. Don't sweat it if you don't have a clue what to do with your life. I'm 22 and I don't, I speak to several people in their 30s and 40s who don't have a clue what they're doing. The truth is, none of us have a clue what we're doing, you just have to take each day as it comes. 6. Adults do not give a shit about "popularity" - they care about stuff that matters. We have two 16 year olds just started at work, one of them is "popular" at school and the other is not. The "popular" one is absolutely useless and spends all her time moaning, the "unpopular" one is great and really lovely to speak to, even though she's really shy. What matters more, kids at school or future employers? 7. Depression? Yes it SUCKS stressing about exams, worrying about friends and trying to work out boys/girls (amongst all the other shit), but once you finish school none of it matters. You'll be grateful you didn't end up with that one guy, or that the "friend" who kept talking about you behind your back began ignoring you. Just take it day by day, and just remember that no matter how you feel right now, in one week, one month, one year, ten years... Your situation will be completely different and you will feel completely different. I promise it does not last forever. 8. I know it feels like school is all there is to life, but that is just the first chapter. Give yourself a good start and the rest of your life will follow :)
