That night, at Charlie's house, something clicked. I was in his living room, putting a Beatles record on, when Charlie came up behind me.
"I'd like to put in a request." He put his hands on my shoulders and his head next to mine.
"What do you want?"
"I Wanna Hold Your Hand."
"You make me change my records." I mumbled somehow, making it sound like a bad thing.
Once the song started, he grabbed my shoulders and spun me around. And then he started dancing really weird.

Charlie looked at me, and I was exposed to the simple fact that we both were sitting closer than ever on the piano bench. I could feel his breath on my cheek, and quickly realized that he was getting closer.

After school ended Charlie attempted packing all his stuff quickly, but some of it fell out of his book bag. I slipped my notebook into my bag and went over to help. After I slid his pencil case in, I asked if I could come over.
