Instant continued to hold onto Dark kissing him on the cheek.
“Mom.” He groaned wriggling out of her grip. Instant laughed and grabbed hold of Darth again.
“You two have grown up so much.” She said kissing her youngest son on his cheek.
“Mom, your embarrassing us.” Darth mumbled.
“What it young man, your never too old to give you mommy a kiss.” Instant said. Kobra laughed and wrapped his arm around her.
“Come on Vampire, I think we got a bit of catching up to do.” He said winking at her. She giggled and walked into one of the bedrooms with him. Party Poison shook his head.
“He's always up to no good.” He mumbled. Sapphire laughed and walked outside. “Where are you going?”

Mikey sighed and stared at the portrait on the wall, the spirits were free and it was all thanks to him. Gerard slammed the trunk door shut after the last suitcase was thrown in.
“Come on Mikey, we're going home!” He shouted.
“Kay.” Mikey said leaving the house. He shut the door and ran to the car.
“So... will I ever see you again?” Ray asked.
“Probably.” Demonia smiled. “Have a safe trip home.”
“You too.” Ray smiled walking back over to the car, he watched Demonia climb into her car and drive off, he sighed and turned to the others. “Well are we going or not?” Gerard shrugged and started the car, he backed out of the driveway and trough the gate.
“Well that was a nice vacation.” Frank said. “Got shoved into a box with a dead person and nearly suffocated but it was still nice.” The others laughed. “Yeah which one of you did that anyway?”
“Don't look at me I was counting.” Ray said.
“Yeah right.” Gerard laughed. “It looked like it as well.” He said turning to Mikey.

Mikey gasped again as the roots tightened around his body he turned to face Tredecim who sat next to him squeezing his hand.
“I remember holding you like this last time.” She mumbled. “I don't think this curse will ever end.”
“I'll see you... in an... another... hundred... years...” Mikey felt tears stinging the back of his eyes as he struggled to breath. Tredecim took a deep breath holding her years back.
“I love you Mikey.” She whispered. “I know this is weird for you to hear but... I do.” She sighed. “I'm sorry I can't stay here. Not again.” She sobbed standing up. Her hand slid from his but Mikey refused to let her go.

Maybe my ex was right... oh what's the point?

Mikey kicked the covers on his bed away from him and walked over to the mirror, he pulled his long-sleeved t-shirt off reviling the roots and branches that completely covered his bare chest and arms, he felt them making their way down his left leg towards his feet.
“You don't have long.” Tredecim said appearing behind him. “I say you have until midnight tonight.” Mikey looked down at his watch feeling tears spring to his eyes.
“But that's only an hour away.” He mumbled forcing his tears back.
“I know.” She muttered slowly disappearing again. Mikey sighed and put his t-shirt back on, he walked out of his room towards Gerard's. He slowly opened the creaky door to see his brother fast asleep in bed. Mikey walked over to him and laid down next to him.

“That's just it. No one knows. As far I know they all died.” Demonia said.
“But there's still branches on the tree.” Ray pointed out. Demonia shrugged.
“So? Doesn't mean any more of the family members are still alive.” She said. Mikey looked up at the portrait of Vladimir, he studied the painting taking in every detail of him. The painting looked exactly like him only Vlad had dark brown hair and Mikey was blond.
“Well I'm gonna bed.” Frank said getting up and leaving the room.
“Yeah I'm gonna go too. You coming Mikey?” Gerard asked. Mikey stayed quiet still staring that the painting. “Mikey!”
“Huh?” He asked turning to face Gerard.
“Oh never mind.” He sighed leaving the room. Mikey turned to Ray and Demonia.
“So how do you know all of this?” He asked. “The story I mean.”
“I did a bit of research before I came here.” She said. “It doesn't hurt to know a bit about the place where your staying.”
“So... the curse was never lifted?” Mikey asked.

Gerard laid Mikey down in his bed and stroked his hair back out of his eyes. He kept on grumbling something but it never made any sense, he placed a glass of water on Mikey's bedside table and kissed his forehead before leaving the room.
“Tre?” Mikey mumbled. “Tre, don't leave me.”
“I'm not going to leave you.” She said holding his hand.
“Why is this happening to me?” Mikey asked looking down at his arm. The roots had spread from his left arm across his chest and onto his right arm.
“Time is running out.” Tredecim mumbled. “Soon you will be completely taken.”
“What does that mean?” Mikey asked.
“I'm sorry Mikey but I can't watch this. Not again.” She said hiding his tears.
“You called me 'Mikey'.” He smiled. But then it soon faded. “What do you mean 'again'?” Tredecim sighed letting a single tear slip.
