I arrived at the venue at about five 'o clock and walked to the box office and checked to see if my tickets had arrived, they had not, so I looked around a little bit. The number of blink-182 fans was about equal to the number of My Chemical Romance fans, and they all visited in harmony as they waited for the gates to open. The gates finally opened at about six-thirty, and the tickets arrived around the same time. I got my tickets, and was told to go to the V.I.P entry to get my photo pass. I was taken into the box office and recieved my tickets and photo pass, now I was ready to go in. I gave my free tickets to my aunt and uncle and bought a pit ticket so I could be closer to my favorite band, the tickets I recieved were great but I wanted to be in the pit, and my aunt and uncle needed tickets, we walked in, and checked out all the awesome tents, and then walked down to our seats. It was a rainy day when killjoys from all around the country gathered at the Comcast Theater in Hartford, CT for one reason: to watch their favorite band My Chemical Romance put on a great show. Killjoys are very dedicated fans; some had been camping out since Friday for this day. Everyone was very friendly at the show, meeting new people, and spreading the love that the MCRmy is all about. When it was finally show time everyone waited in anticipation as My Chem’s crew carefully set up the stage for the show. The security guard mocked us as we all screamed every time the lights dimmed. Finally the lights went black one more time as each member of My Chemical Romance walked on to the stage. The crowd went crazy and they broke into their first song “House of Wolves” Read the rest of the entry

By. Luke Saturday August 13th 2011 was the day my life changed forever! It was the day I was finally able to see my favorite band of ALL time! It was hard to sleep the night before since I was DYING with anticipation. Somehow I had made it through the night and the day of the show had finally arrived! I showed up at the stadium nearly 4 hours early to wait around with friends and fellow fans. Once I received my passes and had gotten into the venue there was nothing left to do but wait! The Hershey Pavilion happens to be a large outside stadium so I was thankful I wouldn’t have to deal with crappy poorly lit concert lighting. Once it was time for MCR's Set I got into place and was ready to shoot my idols! They came out looking great! As a College Photography student this was an AMAZING experience! I was honored to be able to take photos of my HEROES alongside professional photographers! Anyways, I hope you enjoy my photographs as much as I enjoyed taking them! =) This has been an experience I will NEVER forget! Check out Luke's photos here

By. Michelle I’m a planner. And a list maker. I like to keep things in order before an event as much as I can, so that when the day comes, and I’m inevitably excited and rushing around, I won’t forget anything. It was doubly important for me this time, excited as I was about winning Tour Blogger for MCR (a huge, huge thing for someone who wants to get into Concert Photography). I made my list on 8/10. Camera, extra clothes (in case of rain), painting, ticket, wallet, etc. Pretty standard. I probably could have remembered enough of it without the list, but hey. Better safe. With my essentials packed up (and a stop at Starbucks), I was ready! I was also way earlier than I needed to be. I arrived at the venue (Darien Lakes Performing Arts Center in Buffalo, NY) at 11:15. There were two people there before me, a really nice couple that I made friends with, Dominic and Melia. We had a good laugh about being so early and kept each other sane throughout the day, watching the concert set up, people wandering by and taking random pictures to amuse ourselves. I can still remember the first time I ever heard My Chemical Romance play live. I wasn't at a concert and I wasn't watching them on a live TV show. I was only in the seventh grade. I barely knew anything about what concerts were or what the big deal about them was. It was a hot summer day, and I can remember sitting on my bike on the corner of my street, most likely drinking a blue slush puppy from the store down the street. An older friend of mine who had a collection of MCR t-shirts and merch had been anticipating their show for months and called my cell phone. I couldn't hear what he was talking about, all I could hear was the distorted sound of screaming and yelling and I wondered to myself what the point of listening to this was. But then through all the noise and commotion, I could hear the music. I did know a few My Chemical Romance songs, (“Cemetery Drive” was probably my favorite back then. I had a thing where I'd always listen to it whenever we drove by a cemetery.), but the names Gerard, Mikey, Ray, and Frank meant nothing significant to me in those days. I knew they were kind of dark and they weren't like any other bands I saw on FUSE. I didn't know they would one day consume my life. Read the rest of the entry here
