I was at the Coronas gig on Friday....small venue, great band.....it was awesome.
These guys are a really, really good Irish band, and this is one of their songs from their new album, Closer to You.
They're not some amateur band who may or may not get good, they are AMAZING and are on their third, excellent album. They're completely underrated outside of Ireland, so, even if you don't like them, recommend them to your friends!!

Guys, am I seriously the only one who finds fanfiction kinda creepy?
I mean, all the fanfics based on the concept of Killjoys or Black Parade are whatever are GREAT because they're expanding the ideas of the band and are creative and good.....
But isn't writing about real people a little weird?
I mean, I've written one MCR fanfic, but it was a harmless paragraph about Gerard dyeing his hair, and it was a writing exercise rather than something serious....
But you all know the fanfics i mean.....the creepy ones., The perverted ones.
It's not fair, guys. I mean, be creative and write all you want, but have you ever stopped to think that Gerard and Frank are going to have to make superhuman efforts to keep their daughters the hell away from the internet for as long as possible?
How traumatising would it be for a kid ot read a story about their dad and their mom, their dad and some groupie, their dad and another guy, band member or worse, their dad and their uncle?

I don't own an MCR shirt and my school is incredibly strict on uniform.......I can't do much.
I have the words 'stop the hate' inside a cheap plastic locket around my neck. It doesn't matter what it looks like, or that all it is is some scribbled words on paper. Those words mean something.
Today, after school, I will dress weird. I will wear black and a denim jacket covered in MCR badges. I don't care how many funny looks I get from people.
Today, I will do my best to stop the hate, starting with me.
Guys, I've noticed that, sometimes, we Killjoys can be just as nasty as the people we call Dracs. WE moan and complain about how they try and force their trashy pop music down our throats, but it sounds as if a lot of you are forcing MCR and rock music on them. I know what they listen to is rubbish, but that's suppressing their taste as much as they try to suppress ours.
Just be careful not to do that to anyone. Don't be a Drac!!!

I love MCR. I really do. I wouldn't be here if I didn't.....but.....

It's all becoming a bit too much .

All the controversy, all the fangirls, and yes, even all this internet stuff.
People talking about how MCR changed their lives, way that they used their songs and message to help them.......Its brillitant, really....
It's great that you're able to communicate with the MCRmy all over the world, and I love feeling like part of a family here, but, I realised recently, I had forgotten about one very important thing....

The music.

I listened to Welcome to the Black Parade this morning, and realised that I wasn't thinking about how this music made me feel, I realised that I was thinking about Gerard's hair, fanfiction, their plans for a new album, Frank's blog....
those things are great, but...

I had forgotten how to simply rock out to the music I love.

Ive recently discovered Fall Out Boy.......

They obviously dont have the meaning and depth of MCR, but they're really good! I particularily like I Don't Care.....

I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK AS LONG AS ITS ABOUT ME!

I good enough philosophy to have, though within reason. I would rather people think I'm a freak than have them not know I exist......within limits.

People think it's weird that I'm into rock music, and I read Kerrang, and am obsessed with a band most of them have never heard of.......but, in the words of FOB...

I don't care!

I really like the machine shop remix of this song as well, cause its the only version I can play off my ipod from youtube.

Six months ago, the only rock band I listened to were U2. Now, I read Kerrang, and listen to a whole load of different bands.

Killjoys, I need help, ESPECIALLY if you're Irish.....

I'm writing a book, short enough, taking a drastic step away from my usual dark fantasy genre....

Basically, I'm trying to get this published. Therefore, I'm trying to write a realistic account of being a teenage girl, the pressures and the stresses, the exams, the school, the boys, everything.....I've noticed that people like that. This is basically a writing exercise to broaden my horizons, and get it published so I have a foot in the door of the writing industry.

If you have anything you wanna say that might be of use, please do!!

I need a kaleidescope of different views and angles to consider, so please help!
