Chapter 56

Why the hell would he be in Jersey? Why didn’t he stay here in case I had come back? I wondered. “Can I talk to him?” I asked. “He’s not here right now. But I will tell him you called.” He answered. “Alright” I said sadly. “Thanks Mikey” I said after our goodbyes were exchanged. I clicked the end call button on my phone and laid back into the bed staring at the ceiling. “Black bird singing in the dead of night” I sang. “Take these broken wings and learn to fly” I continued. “All your life. You were always waiting for this moment to arise.” A voice continued. I shot my head up and smiled.

Gerard’s POV

Chapter 55

“Hey” I said as I looked up. “How’s everything?” he asked. “It’s…its good. I guess” I replied. “You don’t seem happy” he stated after noticing the lie lying beneath. “I just want to see him” I said as I hugged Taylor. “Where is he; by the way?” he asked. “I don’t know.” I said as Anna walked into the room. “Hey Taylor! What’s up?” she called from the door way into the living room. She ran up and gave him a hug. “Just thought I would drop by and spend some time with my girl Diana” he said as he pulled me next to him. “Yeah!” I agreed as I put my fist in the air. “Oh! Let’s go swimming!” I suggested. “Cool” Taylor replied. “I will go get my swim suit” Anna stated as she started up the stairs. “So shall I” I said as I made my way to the guest bedroom.

Chapter 54

Gerard’s POV
I tried to chase her, I really did; but that skinny love of mine is like a fucking gazelle. She manages to squeeze out of situations with ease. Our eyes met as the elevator doors closed in front of her. Anna, I, and the doctor tried to get a second elevator to hurry up and open but we all decided to just go down the stairs. Once we got down, there was no sign of her; she was gone. I started to freak out; where could she possibly have gone? I looked over at Anna; she had the same worried look on her face as I did. “I don’t know where she is going; but she will come back Gerard.” She told me reassuringly. “Until then, stay at our house” she continued. I accepted and thanked her. We dealt with the hospital people; they were pissed that a patient had just ran out of the hospital.

7 years ago today Gerard got sober not only saving himself, but the band. Which then caused fans to follow in his footsteps. We are all very proud of you. We knew you could do it <3

Chapter 53

Why didn’t I think of this before?! I should call. *Ring ring* *ring ring* “Come on, pick up. Its importante” I said as I went to voice mail. “Hello?” a familiar voice asked. “Hey, wassup?” I asked. “Nothing, what’s up with you?” she asked. “I need somewhere to get away.” I said. “Alright, come on by” Katrine said. “And no one needs to know that I am staying at your place, capice?” I stated. “Capice” she said. I didn’t have to drive far; Katrine lived with her fiancé up in LA. No one, not even my mom knew where she lived. It was amazing that Anna managed to get her number.

Chapter 52

I was getting really fucking tired of this whole blacking out thing. My body had to have been telling me something; something important, something so important that I would have to put my life on temporary hold. The last thing I saw was Anna’s worried face as I began to sink toward the earth slowly. I was relieved that I had seen Anna last; she has been with me through it all and I truly loved her like she were a replica of me; like my twin. I woke up to her; I heard slight slow beeping around me. Anna was holding my hand while tears ran down her cheek. I smiled as I looked around; my vision was foggy but I soon realized I was in the hospital. To my left was Gerard holding my hand, I saw a ring on my finger. The ring I had thrown to the floor when my heart shattered into a million pieces.
