Day 19 and a question

Day 19 is "a song from your favorite album". i don't really have a favorite album, as i think each one is awesome in its own right, but i'm going to pick:

THE REAL ME (off of Quadrophenia) by THE WHO, just because i'm currently going through a Who phase.

now, the question, specifically to the person who seems like the moderator but also to anyone who can answer it:

what do you mean when you say that a lot is riding on the sales of conventional weapons?

because the sense of foreboding is really starting to worry me.

Day 18 and a fan fiction suggestion

Day 18 is "A song you wish you heard on the radio".

LOS ANGELES IS BURNING - BAD RELIGION

explanation for my song choice: i don't like what Hollywood stands for. i'd like to think that this song is referring to a social revolution. Hollywood and what it produces, to me, stand for egotism, greed, and other things that are very wrong with kids these days. this social heirarchy and text-loving society that excludes kids for no reason that the media has created is perfect according to its definition of perfection, so it must be challenged and overthrown in order to become beautiful. it is BL/ind.

Day 17: A song you hear on the radio a lot

LITTLE BLACK SUBMARINES BY THE BLACK KEYS

i should probably clarify that i listen to the alternative rock station most of the time, so i'm not subjected to the top 40 hits and whatnot. i listen to what i think is the only alternative rock station in Wisconsin: 96.9, The Fox. they play green day, metallica, shinedown, panic! at the disco, fall out boy, AFI, the foo fighters, and a ton of other good stuff.

check 'em out: http://www.fox969.com/

oh, and when they cycle through the artists at the top of the screen, sit back and wait a bit. and pay attention when they show metallica. trust me. XD

Day 16: A song you used to love but now hate

GIRLFRIEND BY AVRIL LAVIGNE

hey, if it weren't for that song, i'd still be listening to the mellow country music that my mom played while i was growing up. that song got me interested in pop music, which led me to a boy band, which led me to green day, which led me to MCR.

yep, i was raised on songs by shania twain and now i'm listening to the misfits.

good luck figuring out the chain of events that linked THOSE two events together. XD

p.s. has anyone listened to dos yet? what do you think?

Day 15: A song that describes you

EARLY GRAVES - SENSES FAIL

have you ever listened to a song and been like, "whoever wrote this must be stalking me" and felt that it was speaking to you? that would be this song. it is the only one NOT by MCR to ever do that. and it's me all the way.

especially the line: i call to question, the things in question, i think i think too much.

stay neurotic fellow killjoys! <3

Day 14: A song that no one would expect you to love

I STILL BELIEVE BY TED NUGENT

ever get the feeling that the weekend is too short? in the past seven days, i've had to take four quizzes, three tests, write a five-page paper, read about 30 pages in my English textbook, and complete a Geology lab about stream processes, which took three hours to do.

is it any wonder that the song that's going through my head right now is green day's "burnout"? XD

30 Day song challenge, day 13

Day 13 is "A song that is a guilty pleasure." i hope i don't catch any flak for saying this, but . . .

BAD ROMANCE - 30 SECONDS TO MARS

so i think i may finally be succeeding in introducing my mom to MCR. one thing you've got to understand about why this is a challenge is that my mom LOVES light pop and coffeeshop-type music. i'm talking the pina colata song, micheal buble, that guy who sings "you raise me up", the plain white T's, love songs like "careless whisper", "wake me up before you go-go", etc.

so you see, i can't exactly blast "vampires will never hurt you" when she's around if i

Day 12: A song from a band you hate

BOOM BOOM POW BY THE BLACK EYED PEAS.

end of story.

seriously, what's the point of that song? it's like TTYLXOX; there's no meaning or depth at all. just goes to show that everyone's saything something but few people are saying anything meaningful.

i might start signing off with my killjoy name from now on.

Day 11: A song from your favorite band

Day 10: A song you can fall alseep to

summertime...i've fallen asleep to this song many times. just the line "you can run away with me any time you want" was very comforting whenever i was upset and depressed during high school. it's like, run away, go somewhere else, you can leave whenever you want. maybe not physically, but you can escape mentally. and that's very reassuring when you're not in a very good place. you guys get that, right? or am i just weird...?

also, i feel the need to post this. i've seen a lot of depressing blogs as of late. i don't know why, but i've got to say something about it.
