They are taking the ceiling down from the top of the stairwell in my place. They decided the art there is not helping business, and there have been rumors of it attracting drug users. It'll be sad when it was gone. It was a sort of inspiration. It made me want to paint on the high wall- add my own to the work. But they are taking it down, spilling all kinds of paint chips, foam chunks, and bits of some heavy duty glue. (The old tenants must of planned for it to be hard to work out) But more than just for me (or the acoustics Erlend and I achieved in that hallway) I will lament for the peers we used to have wandering up since they heard there was a safe place to come. I am also annoyed that now I will have to clean the cat stains out of the carpet. I am anticipating the doorbell will ring alot more often now. We don't really like that prospect. You can dash in a hallway- not so much from behind a closed door.
