Why does dropping MCR as #1 feel so wrong?!

So I fear MCR has lost their spot as my number one favorite band. Don't get me wrong, they're still in my top ten favorite bands, but I've come to realize that I don't listen to them that much anymore. I find myself focusing on music from other bands. One band in particular has become very central in my life. The songs, the lyrics, the emotion. They're pure joy to sing along to. I'm not going to mention who has replaced MCR, because I know many on here would disagree that they could ever top MCR but it's just how I feel.

So why does it feel so wrong? I feel as if I'm betraying the one group I was passionate towards for 3 years. But hey, I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.

haha I know this sounds a bit over dramatic, but this was a very big decision to make.

They're still an incredibly amazing influential and inspiring band in my book and I'll follow them to the end, but alas they are no longer number one on my list.

The Musical March Madness is driving me insane!

(Nothing related to the MCR voting)

But fans of the other bands (*cough* especiall Tokio Hotel *cough*) are getting way out of hand. I find myself defending My Bloody Valentine simply because they're being accused of cheating and I don't know a single song by them.

These fans are just driving me nuts! And some of them are quite persistent with the name calling.

This competition is so not worth it.

Sorry if this upsets any Tokio Hotel fans...

One of my all time favorite movie scenes/speeches :)

Now you will recieve us.
We do not ask for your poor or your hungry.
We do not want your tired and sick.
It is your corrupt we claim.
It is your evil that will be sought by us.
With every breath we shall hunt them down.
Each day we will spill their blood 'til it rains down from the skies.
Do not kill, do not rape, do not steal.
These are principles which every man of every faith can embrace.
These are not polite suggestions, these are codes of behavior.
And those of you that ignore them will pay the dearest cost.
There are varying degrees of evil, we urge you lesser forms of filth not to push the bounds and cross over, into true corruption, into our domain.
But if you do, one day you will look behind you and you will see we three, and on that day you will reap it.
And we will send you to whatever god you wish.

So good!!! Such an awesome movie :)

I've f**king had it!! (Rant about alcohol)

I am sick and tired of my dad drinking alcohol til he's drunk out of his mind. People tell me alcohol's not that bad. Guess what? It is. Because some people abuse alcohol use and don't know when they've had enough. Every freaking night he drinks until he's drunk. You see it as it happens. First drink after work around 2:00pm. and then just continues until late at night. First he's coherent and having discussions with you but then as time goes on, he suddenly starts repeating everything, forgetting things, wobbling when he walks, and slurring his speech. It's like he becomes an entirely different person. I know there are alcoholics WAY worse who turn violent, but my dad simply becomes a danger to himself.

Damn Spiders

When I finally decide to follow my mom's wishes and sleep in a bedroom instead of on the couch I find a huge freaking spider in the room!!! Now coming from someone who is absolutely terrified of spiders, I exaggerate. "Huge freaking spider" simply means it's bigger than a Daddy Long Legs and much wider and fully colored. Yea...so I'm back on the couch.

Damn spiders are freaking gross and just *shudder*. The vaccum wouldn't even kill it. I was jumping up and down and paniking and my parents are both asleep. I can't kill spiders that big. While I'm afraid of them alive, I'm also too grossed out to want to see them squished. I have to kill Daddy Long Legs with a shoe so I don't have to feel the crushing of it in a napkin. But big ass spiders? No way I'm even going near them...I may be 18, but that doesn't mean I'm not still scared of little things...

Bob Bryar. March 4th.

So today marks the 3 year anniversary since Bob left MCR. (or since we got the message from Frank.)

What a shame.

Perhaps we'll soon get to meet a new drummer, who knows.

Til then, stay ugly and carry on. :)

Some poetry for class. Tell me what you think!! (Ones for The Boondock Saints!) :)

So I'm taking a creative writing class in college, and right now we're working on poetry. Now at first I was dreading it because I'm not a fan of poetry, but as I wrote poems, I realized it came a whole lot easier to me than fiction writing and I'm quite happy with my work :)

Have a gander if you'd like :)
The first two are about music and the last one's about the Boondock Saints

Poem #1
MUSIC

Lyrics that capture your emotions
Better than you ever could

Melodies that make your heart race
That make you feel like you're on top of the world

Vocals that give you goosebumps
and sends chills down your spine

Beats that make you excited
and that tempt you to dance the day away

Images that form before your eyes
telling a story

Emotion that tears at your heartstrings
until tears spill over

A combination of all can take away despair
and replace it with pure joy.

Poem #2
A SONG

A quiet beat grows in the darkness
A melody starts to appear
Suddenly

Happy 41st Birthday to Billie Joe Armstrong!!

It is this wonderful man's 41st birthday today, on the 17th of February. I am proud to say I am a Green Day fan and I'm glad these guys are still around rocking the world.

A very happy birthday to Mr. Billie Joe Armstrong. Thanks for making my world just a little more amazing with your incredible music :)

Bored of homework and suggesting music on here instead! Yay for procrastination!!

So lately I've been obsessed with Steel Train. If you know the band Fun., the guitarist Jack Antonoff headed this band before he joined Fun. His vocals are pretty darn good and the songs are unique and odd but so awesome. (Nate the singer of Fun. also features in the first two listed.)

He likes to throw in lots of La La's, Woah woahs, and Na Na's, so that's what makes them catchy and fun to listen to.

Here's the current 9 songs I've been listening to on repeat.

-Kill Monsters in the Rain
-Dakota
-Bullet
-Bloody Lips
-Touch Me Bad
-Behavior
-Soldier in the Army
-S.O.G. Burning in Hell
-I Feel Weird

Bullet is probably their biggest hit, so listen to that one first to get hooked. Check em' out!!

I feel like a better person

Throughout my last years in high school, tension built very high between my best friend and me and I decided to break off contact after graduation. I was so angry about all the things she had ever done to hurt me. But I realized now, 8 months later, that I miss how close we used to be. I think I just needed some space and time to just relax and get away from all the built up drama.

So today I messaged her on Facebook. She is less than a month away from having a baby, so I congratulated her and told her that I'm happy for her and that I miss how we used to be. I told her I had just needed some time to think and that I hope we could go back to being friends.

Fingers crossed that she responds positively. It took courage to tell her those things due to the 8 month silence between us. I hope she accepts my attempt to reach out and get things back to normal.

Bye for now! :)
