Fuck.
It's Not Over.

Never take no for an answer.

Bring your bullets.

Cheer for sweet revenge.

Walk this world alone.

And HEAR the music when your heart begins to break.

Oh my fuck.

I'm a music therapy intern.

Sometimes, I have really great, beautiful sessions. The clients will have tons of insight and have great progress.

Other times...it's like today.

My client was just flat the whole time. Wouldn't say what was bothering him. Wouldn't do anything.

Granted, he is an adolescent male. Teenage boys in general don't like to share feelings. They don't like feelings.

But it was awful. There was nothing I could do except let him be all shut down and quiet.

This job can be so frustrating sometimes.

I need a fucking drink.

The difference between Good Guy Sonny and Scumbag Skrillex?

I miss Sonny Moore =/

Holy bad MCR fan, Batman!

Wow. I can't believe I missed this. Probably because I'm not a big fan of "The World Is Ugly"...

At the end of the song, the nod to "Vampires Will Never Hurt You".

Love.

I now appreciate "The World Is Ugly" just a little bit more.

Restored hope.

Okay, so CW 1 was great. Fast paced, in your face, sweet-ass punk music.

CW 2....loved "Ambulance". Sounded like a BP song. "Gun"...did not love. Was repetitive; not exciting.

CW 3...I lost hope. To me, these two songs sounded like radio friendly BS. They were great songs, but not great MCR songs (I actually wrote a blog about my disappointment in these songs and my anxiety about the future of the band).

CW 4...I really liked these songs. They sounded a little more MCR to me and I was pleased with them.

CW 5...Completely and absolutely restored my hope. These two songs are glorious.

A follow up blog to my blog earlier.

If you have not read my blog from earlier, please go read that first and read the comments. If you don't, this blog will make little to no sense.

Let me attempt to make my point a little clearer.

My five years as a music major and much of the modern day music I listen to now has spoiled me. I enjoy and appreciate complexity. Whether it is Bach's Fugue in G minor or I Am Abomination's ridiculously guitar riff's.

But it's not only the complexity that I enjoy and appreciate. It's the amount of effort and expression that is evident through the execution of the music that I appreciate.

I used

Perhaps I've outgrown MCR? =/

When I first heard "Boy Division" I was fucking stoked. Not quite a "Three Cheers" sound, but it was raw, it was fast-paced, it was what I had been waiting for. When I heard "Tomorrow's Money", it had a very heavy "Danger Days" sound, but it was still pretty good.

Then Conventional Weapons Two came out. "Ambulance" sounded like something straight off of "Black Parade". I was fairly pleased with this song. Especially the vocal harmony at the beginning. Very Queen-esque. Then I listened to "Gun." Uhhh, what? Really repetitive. Kind of derpy sounding.

The Year of the Black Parade!

You know, ever since I've been an MCR fan, I have yet to actually choose something from their albums to be for Halloween! So this year is The Year of the Black Parade!

Although the Black Parade was not my favorite album, I feel as if the concept is fairly easy to grasp. Therefore, I am a random character from the Black Parade!

Basically, I found things I had in my closet, the corset, petticoat, tights and a sweater and I bought a cheap $5 mask!

See, costumes can be as cheap as $5!

Anyways, just thought I would share this with fellow MCR fans =)
