The Song Challenger (MCR Edition)

I saw this on tumblr. It was originally for any and all bands. I've decided to do an MCR specific version.

1)A song you like with a color in the title
Black Dragon Fight Society

2)A song you like with a number in the title
Zero Percent

3)A song that reminds you of summertime
Summertime

4)A song that reminds you of someone you would rather forget about (ugh)
Heaven Help Us

5)A song that needs to be played LOUD
Vampire Money

6)A song that makes you want to dance
Teenagers

7)A song to drive to
Cemetery Drive

8)A song about drugs or alcohol
Headfirst for Halos

9)A song that makes you happy
Na Na

This is me.

Try #2 because no one gave a shit the first time around.

This is me. After a long battle with depression, disordered eating, and SH as a teenager, I'm a happy, unbreakable 22 year old.

A face to the name.

Way to blow your cash.

Seriously Mikey, a $26,000 engagement ring?
It's official: Way be Cray.
And also, confirmation of MCR rich status.

The Rose That Grew from Concrete

Did you hear about the rose that grew
from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature's law is wrong it
learned to walk with out having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping it's dreams,
it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete
when no one else ever cared.

MCR Drums

So Bob Bryar is selling the drums that he used in the Desolation Row video on ebay for $500. He states that "they would be fun to have if you still like that band" and I find it so endlessly hilarious.

Why I Disagree with the Rule Against Self Harm Posts

A few of the blogs that I responded to in the past few days that spoke of either feeling the desire to self harm or admitting to self harm have been deleted under this rule. Now, while I understand that there are certain aspects of the subject that could be considered triggering for others on here, such as a description of any acts of self harm, it makes absolutely no sense that blogs about the general subject or about emotional distress should be removed. I understand that for many of the young people who use this website, their blog is a place of comfort and honesty.

Obsessive fankids, help!

Ok can someone please explain the joke behind this whole Family Breakfast thing?
I get that it's some sort of inside joke between Bob and the interwebz, and I get that it is somehow related to Mikeygate.
I'm just not smart enough to decipher this crap, and I don't have the time to google my way to an answer.

A Letter to the Depressed, The Suicidal, The Self-Harmers

Dear Beautiful, Worthy Person,

I know what you are dealing with. Better than most doctors, adults, or concerned friends who say that they know. I do. Not only do I know that you feel alone, I have felt alone too. Not only do I know that you feel numb, I have felt numb too. Not only do I know that you feel like a failure, I have felt like a failure too. Not only do I know that you feel like the expanse of dark and heavy days you see ahead of you will never end, I have felt the weight of the future as well.

I too have felt the crushing weight of the possibility of a future filled with nothing

All That Is Gold Does Not Glitter

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.
