Total Desolation Part 45

Finally I looked at Aagneya, my mind made up, the decision made, I just had to accept.
Aagneya raised his eyebrows at me in question, wondering what my response would be. I nodded, it was a slight gesture, barely noticeable, but it changed the fate of so many people. Aagneya’s own face twisted into a smile, it was a evil smile, if I didn’t know that it was regarded towards others and not me, it would’ve scared the living shit out of me and I would’ve had nightmares for weeks. But either way that was a face I would see every time I blinked, and it would haunt me until the end, the second end.
I allowed myself to smile back, a quick little smirk, nothing too much, I wasn’t what he thought I was and I wouldn’t allow myself to become what he wanted of me, I just had to remain on top of the situation, keep control, if I lost it, we lost The Black Parade.

Aagneya led me through the long hallways to a new room I had never seen before. There was a large bed centered against the back wall with blood red silk sheets covering it. I was guessing that the large full length mirrors were sliding doors leading to a walk in closet, but that was just what was going through my mind, I couldn’t be sure quite yet. The walls were black brick and the floor was a dark concrete, practically black.
Aagneya took me over to the mirror set into the wall but instead of it sliding to go through he stepped through it, pulling me along behind him. When I emerged on the other side I found myself in a walk in closet. This one was full of strictly black clothes that had more feminine clothes in it. Aagneya pulled me to the back on the closet and pulled out a long black dress.
I let out a gasp, it wasn’t just a dress, it was the dress.
“Do you like it?” Aagneya asked, a smile across his pretty face.

I was startled awake by a screeching raven outside of the window above the bed. I became aware of my surroundings quickly and assessed the situation. Last night’s episode flashed through my mind as I became aware of Aagneya’s steady breathing against my hair and his heartbeat thumping in my ear.
I glanced at the window, there wasn’t a bird in sight, I don’t know how I had heard a raven. It had sounded so real, I was sure it was there but there was nothing there. Just as there had been no life outside the mansion when I showed up.
I unwound Aagneya’s arm from around me and sat up, clutching the black sheets against me. I looked around the room, surprised at how much it felt like home to me, nothing had ever felt like home to me.

The doors to the dining hall opened and Reapers began filing in. Aagneya raised his right hand and shot fire out across the room that hit and lit all the candles on the table. I jumped slightly, not expecting that.
The Reapers came and took their respective spots next to their chairs, not yet sitting.
“Today we celebrate,” Aagneya’s masculine voice boomed out thru the dining hall. “The 19th year of rule. Enjoy this feast as if it were your last.” Aagneya again raised his right arm but this time blue lightning crackled out of his arm into the air, it cracked loudly and stung my ears. Another set of doors opened in the dining hall and servers, mere humans, came and began laying out meals on the tables as the Reapers took their seats. Aagneya gestured for me to sit in the chair that they had brought out and I sat.

I stared into the room I had just discovered. A figure stood with his back to me as 2 others stared at me, or at least I had to think they were staring at me. Each of the figures wore a black cloak that hid their faces from me. The figures were tall and looked as if they were about to pounce if I so much as blinked.
“Oh, uhh, I’m sorry, I thought...this place...was abandoned.” I manage to stutter out, making me seem harmless when in reality I was thinking through a million scenarios.
The two figures that were facing me seemed to lurch forward as one towards me. I flinched, hoping to seem untrained and that I just carried the knife around for protection even though I didn’t know how to use it.

I felt all the knowledge I had consumed flow thru me, telling me what to do, telling me what I was supposed to do. The wind rushed around me as I concentrated on the image of what I wanted do. Slowly I felt the wind slow around me as if I were going in slow motion. Time itself seemed to stop as I fell slower and slower until I was just floating in midair. I lowered myself back down to the ground and landed softly on the grass. Midnight, Bomb, and Raven all just stared at me.
“What the fuck Venom.” Bomb commented
I shrugged. “It happens.”
“Is your goal to give us all heart attacks!?” Raven screamed in my ear.
“Stop fucking worrying. I’m perfectly fine, I had it under control!” I screeched back at him.
I stormed off towards the woods as the sky began to darken and gray clouds formed. By the time I had gotten to the edge of the forest it was drizzling and slowly coming down harder.

I woke up in the middle of the night around 3AM because I couldn’t sleep, I had already been getting too much sleep since being dead. I quietly snuck down to the library and pulled books from both the main library and the library on my death, I had decided on the way down that it wasn’t nearly as important to read about my life that I lived as things that I didn’t know.
I sat myself down in the middle of the great library and scattered books around me. I went from book to book, reading as much as I could. I learned about more witchcraft, figuring it would be helpful if I was to defeat Aagneya on his territory. I also went thru a bunch of books telling me what I would be doing in the next few days, I was sure that Dawn would tell me more so I just skimmed the pages for now.

“Oh my god! You’re alive!”
“Well technically we’re dead....” Waterfall Bomb stated.
I couldn’t help myself, I ran up and hugged Bomb, Raven, and Midnight. They hugged me back.
“I’m glad you’re ok.” Raven said as he planted a kiss on the top of my head. I hugged him. “Me too.”
“What happened after I died?” Midnight asked me, she had probably filled the rest in on what she saw as she died.
“Well, I charged into the room Korse was in and there was a blood battle.”
“Did you kill him?” Bomb asked me.
“Yes. Only thing was he used his last bit of energy to stab me in the jugular and I died.”
Bomb nodded, she wasn’t very enthusiastic but I couldn’t really blame her, I had killed her and ripped out her trachea.
“I’m sorry.” I said, looking into Bomb’s eyes. “I had never meant to murder you. I thought you were Korse, the spell was consuming me.”
Bomb nodded and I hugged her. “I’m sorry.” A tear started to well in my eye and I blinked it away, I wouldn’t cry.

I emerged from the other side of the mirror and was blasted with bright white light. I squinted my eyes against the light, in hopes of being able to see something, if anything.
Slowly the light subsided and I could somewhat see, I had to squint slightly.
“Welcome to my dominion.” A soothing voice said. I squinted further into the light and started to see a figure. “Oh sorry my dear, let me turn down the light.” I vaguely saw the figure motion with her hands and then the light subsided.
I was standing in a white room, literally everything, was white. There was a woman sitting in a large royal looking chair, white of course. She was very pale, if Dawn was white then this woman was a ghost, it didn’t get any whiter than that, she seemed translucent against the white walls. She had long white hair that hung loose and ended around mid-chest.
“I am Astrid, the fair and beautiful Goddess of The Black Parade. I am just and pure, and I know all that is meant to be known.”

Total Desolation Part 36

I woke up at 5 o’clock on the dot. I stared up at the clock as it ticked out the seconds of the day. Even when dead I still don’t sleep much and got up no later than 5 on the dot. I looked down at the book I had been reading when I fell asleep, it was open to a spell for transformation, the ability to transform into another living creature, I wondered if it worked on dead people.
Without thinking of the possible dangers I recited the words to the spell and thought of an owl, I didn’t know why, but it was the first thing to come to mind. I stared at a mirror on the door of my walk in closet and watched as my body morphed into the form of a beautiful white owl, I had never seen such an amazingly breathtaking sight. I cooed in delight as I stretched my wings out and ruffled my feathers. Without thinking I flapped my wings and took off, luckily my room had a high ceiling and I flew to the top and came back down, landing on the balcony, overwatching the town below me.
