it really does. i just had mine today (got tonsils and adnoids out) and it went well, except for a few things. when the nurse put the numbing cream on my hand for the IV, she left it on too long before starting the IV so it already wore off by time she shoved the needle in my hand. it hurt like a bitch. after, when i woke up in the recovery room, both my grandma and my mom were gone. my mom convinced my grandma to leave, cuz my mom said she'd watch me but she already left for work before i woke up. i ended up talking with the nurse while i was half awake and she was the one who pretty much took care of me for the three hours after my surgery getting me popsicles and drinks. when the nurse took the IV out of my hand, she didnt put pressure on it so i got a big bruise. my mom showed up after i got discharged and had to get wheeled in a wheelchair out of the hospital. i am now sittin on my couch unable to eat anything drinking cold water from little cups where u take liquid medicine from. i can eat jell-o, popsicles, coke/pepsi, imstant breakfasts and water. i cant talk, i can make incoherent sounds which only my lil sis can understand so shes my translator. im on house arrest for a month. this sucks dirty custy camel dick -.-
