Bassists, guitarists, anyone who can help me out?

hey killjoys :) im a bassist and recentley i've been having problems with my right hand and it's pretty much out of nowhere. My pointer finger has been hurting around where it connects to the rest of my hand (i dont play with a pick, i use my fingers) I've tried a bunch of things but nothing seems to be helping. If any of you know what might help, or have had something similar to this before, can you let me know? Thanks so much guys :)
