Blizzard of '09, the One that Started Winter Break Early..

Ah, the Blizzard of '09. Have you heard of it? Perhaps not.
So, here in a small town in the state of Virginia, we got more than 20 inches of snow. This happened on Saturday, though. And due to such weather, our [county's] Winter Break started earlier. Originally, we would've gone to school yesterday, today, and for a few hours tomorrow. Ah well, looks like that didn't happen.
I was pretty upset about it at first; I don't like being home. It's not like I was going to be allowed to get out much during winter break. And I hate those jokes my parents make about things that I talk seriously about. Plus, I wouldn't get to see my friends.
Luckily, I have a friend that lives not far, and we got to go watch a movie today. So, maybe winter break won't be as bad as I thought.

But before I found out that we weren't having school this entire week.....

I was outside in the snow on Sunday. Having some fun, and suffering at the same time.
It was sad because I didn't have gloves, so my hands were completely numb. My friend, Lijia, and I had a snowball fight with these kids, including my younger bro. Then I set of to find her because she had gone to her house to get a shovel and change pants. x) I felt like a penguin, but it was okay; penguins are cool. We decided to walk through the snow and make our way to this other small park near by. When we walked by, Lijia kept laughing and since I was in front, she pushed me down. She fell, as well.
By the time I got home, the snow had gotten inside of my pants. Haha that kinda sounds wrong, but it was at the bottom, okay?? Even my shoes were filled with snow (I don't own boots, either). Like I said before, I suffered, but I also had fun. :D

And now here I am, in my room. Looking back at that, and listening to the funny voice recordings I have on my cell.
