Germs HATE Tokio Hotel

Its true!
There's this German exchange student in my history class but he's leaving on Sunday so I decided to ask him a question that had been bugging me today (well I guess it was yesterday seeing as it is saturday as of a half hour ago
But anyway here's how it went:

Me: So, like, um, what music do you listen to in Germany?
Nicco: Pretty much the same as here
Me: But do you, like, listen to Tokio hotel ex-
Nicco: NO.
Me: Yeah, but do people over there listen to Tokio Hotel except, like, in German.
Nicco: no. NO ONE listens to Tokio Hotel
Me: Like absolutely no one?!?
Nicco: NO ONE.
then he had to leave cause he had been called down to the guidance office

Later I talked to a girl from the family he had been staying with because she volunteered at the library ghost tours with me and she said that she had asked him about that a while ago and told her not to talk about them, apparently they think of Tokio Hotel as traitors over there or something.

I can only tell you, that Tokio Hotel has a very big fanbase here in Germany. But most of the guys are jealous of them, as they look better than the rest of the guys here in Germany :-)) Their musik is great, but in one case Nicco is right, most time they sing in german.

Really? I thought that Germans would be proud of them or something, you know, like how Canadians are proud of Sum 41 and Marianas Trench and all those other Hollywood Canadians

I'm really not. I don't know why, but I figured they wouldn't be to popular back home.
