The Doctor had a I'm-So-Sorry-But, look on his face.
Mikey had only just noticed that the doctor was in the actual room as he was more concentrated on Crystal.
" what?" i asked.
" She banged her head pretty badly" the doctor said.
" You don't say" Said Mikey butting in.
" She need surgery as there might be a bleed near the brain" said the doctor.
My Mouth opened. I Looked at Mikey, he had a tear in his eye. i then looked at the Delicate Crystal lying in the bed. maybe hearing what we was saying i dont know.
" oh" they were the only words that left my mouth.
" we have an open space this evening. If thats okay" the doctor said. i nodded.
" you do realize there isn't much chance of her surviving" The doctor said Mikey stood up then Frank Busted in.
" What's happening?" Frank asked.
" i think im going to be sick" Mikey said. He then ran out.
" Crystal is having an operation, And there isnt much chance of her Surviving" i told frank who imediatly turned to the doctor and looked him straight int the eye.
" You better save her, or you'll have me to answer to" he said.
The doctor looked scared and walked out the room. I shook my head at Frank,
" i've only just got her" Said Frank " i feel like i've let her down for me knowing and not her" he sat down on the other side of the bed.
" Frank, you havnt Mate, you seriously need to think, what would be better her knowing your her brother or her going to die? i think she'd pick not being mad at you any day" i said.
It was 7pm and it was the time of the surgery. Mikey had been sick so i told him to go home and try and get some sleep. i doubt he would but i told him to try.
So i sat with Ray in the room Whilst Frank went to Julia's ( her mum)
" so" said Ray.
" dont talk," i said. " i couldn't bear it if she had died." i looked at him.
Ray put a hand on my shoulder. the doctor opened the door.
" Whats happened.?" i asked,
" everything was okay, she's awake. and asking for you" the doctor said pointing to me,.
i walked into the room. i was so happy. She was fine.
" Hey" i said seeing her. she looked pale as anything.
" Hey" she said. her voice was silent but sweet. " you told Mikey?"
i new what she meant.
" Yes, you deserve him not me" i Nodded. she nodded back.
" Where is he?" she asked,
" at home, sleeping hopefully. he was sick earlier" i said. she looked like she was going to be sick.
" Do you mind if i get some sleep.?" she asked.
" No, you get some sleep," i said standing up. she took my hand.
" Even if im with Mikey, i will always love you Gerard. Always" she said smiling and then letting go.
