The Last Danger Day...

Well, friends, mortal enemies, aqquaintances and fellow Killjoys, today is the last Danger Day.

In only a few short hours, Conventional Weapons will officially be upon us, and Danger Days will sink into the archives as another era begins. I'm not sure how many of you are taking it...I'm sure you've all had your fair share of fan girling when the new album was announced, your near death heartattacks when release dates came out for the songs. And now, TOMORROW, the first songs off the album will be available for our hungry ears to hear. But still, through all the excitement over CW, I can't help but feel a little sad that the Danger Days era is coming to a close.

I mean, Danger Days taught me more than any other album ever has before. It taught me to stand tall, point my ray gun square at the sun, and never, EVER, give a fuck. It gave me something to laugh about, to cry about, to dance about, and to sing about. It was MUCH more than just a CD, or a series of notes and chords. It was an idea, and entire UNIVERSE bursting through the seams of MCR's conjoined mind. It was Killjoys, the desert, the California heat, draculoids, BL/ind, and most importantly, it was saving the world. I don't think I'll ever forget the good times, the bad times, and the downright insane times me and this album, with all it's additions and ideas, have experianced.

But I guess it's time to make room for the new era. No, we're not kicking DD to the curb. It's simply going back into the archives, still to be loved and enjoyed like it has been for the past two years. Now, Conventional Weapons is coming into our world, fully nurtured and ready to be listened to "loud and without judgement." Killjoys, it's been a good run, and God knows we'll never die. So let's raise our ray guns as high up into the atmosphere as we can reach, and give Conventional Weapons one hell of an introduction.

Signing off,
