It seemed that there was a time when the Black Parade was less bleak looking, and almost new instead of falling apart. Every month there would be a parade to welcome the newly deceased. Things were actually quite happy and peaceful. I even thought that it wouldn’t have been a bad place to come to.
That’s how things were before Seth came. Seth was the cause for why things are turning to debris. He came during one of the parades, and brought with him sand storms that destroyed everything. It was complete chaos. Everyone fled, and didn’t come back for several days, just in case Seth was still there. This happened at every parade after that, until the people just gave up on the parades entirely.
Now, this is where things got a little weird. The guys, Adrian, and I are apparently supposed to run the parade again. Of course when we do that Seth will come and try to stop it again. We’ve got to prevent that from happening though. That’s the simple part though. We’ve also got to destroy Seth in the process. As if that even sounds remotely possible. If we manage to do this then the Black Parade will return to normality.
“I don’t understand.” Adrian said in slight disbelief of everything.
“I don’t think you need to.” Gerard assured her.
He was probably planning everything out like a BL/ind raid. In some aspects I’m sure it was similar, but probably didn’t need so much attention to detail.
To me it seemed that we would just be recreating the Welcome to the Black Parade music video, with some differences. The biggest difference being that while the float paraded through the city streets we’d also be attempting to kill some evil villain. No big deal.
“Do we get instruments?” Adrian then decided to ask. I’m sure she was thinking more like me, than Gee.
“Of course. Would you like to see them?” Sister ask them all.
“Stupid question.” Frank’s eyes had lit up at the thought of having a new guitar to play with.
“He means yes.” Mikey gave a much nicer answer, while shooting Frank a look. Frank just gave a sarcastic ‘Sorry’ look.
We all left that room, and crossed back in front of the staircase to the other hallway. The hallways weren’t as long as I had expected, only a few doors were on either side. It was the last door on the right that we entered.
The room was relatively plain with undecorated gray walls. A drum kit was close to the back wall. Also on the back wall were three guitar stands. Two held guitars, and the other held a bass. All of the instruments were in black. I noticed three microphones placed across the middle of the room as well. It was like the room was specifically designed and stocked just for Adrian, and the guys.
It took Adrian no time at all from walking through the doorway, to sitting behind the drum. Frank, Mikey, Ray, and Gerard were all checking out the guitars and bass. I smiled seeing them all so happy with the instruments.
“I don’t play any instruments, so what’s my part in all of this?” I turned to Sister, and asked the one question I had so far.
“You will be in the following.” She answered. I figured she meant I’d be part of the group that followed the float on foot.
I shrugged thinking that I had the easiest part in all of this.
“What do we have to play?” Adrian asked, still sitting at her drum kit with the sticks in her hand.
“I think it’s obvious,” Gerard began.
“Welcome to the Black Parade.” I finished for him with a smirk.
“Before you do anything you need to practice your abilities first.” Sister told us all.
I knew Adrian really wanted to play. It was the one thing she couldn’t mess up, and it made her feel good inside and out.
She didn’t even have to say anything for me to know that right now she wanted nothing more than to play.
“Hey, don’t worry. We’ll be good to go in no time.” Gerard assured her.
“You’ll be able to train in the backyard.” Sister told us, as we followed back down the hallway and out the front door.
“Will you be helping us train?” I asked out of curiosity.
“No. There is nothing I can do to aid you.”
By now we were behind the large house. It seems that it was actually built near the edge of a tall cliff. Between the house and the cliff was a good fifty feet of empty land. A few tall trees were the only foliage.
“I think we can handle ourselves. Right guys?” Gerard asked excitedly.
To be honest I was pretty excited to try shape shifting a little more myself.
“If you need to rest just go upstairs, and you’ll find separate rooms for all of you. I’ll give you a tour of your half of the house tomorrow.” Sister assured us before retreating back around the house, and probably inside again.
Immediately we all broke off to do our thing. Ray just kind of sat awkwardly on the ground where he could see all of us. Gerard did the same, and I was almost kind of scared of what he might try doing. Frank, was all over the place, never stopping anywhere for too long. Adrian just stood off to the side where there was a large group of various sized rocks. I had a hard time of knowing where Mikey was most of the time considering I couldn’t even see him.
As for myself I tried to stick to a general area in the middle of the yard, but that didn’t exactly happen. There were dozens, if not hundreds, of different animals I thought about shifting into. I just kept picking one at random, and spending a few minutes in that form.
When I finally got around to being a raven again, I immediately tried to take to the air, and found it surprisingly easy to do so. It was just natural, as if with becoming that animal I inherited its instincts as well. I would have found it weird, if it wouldn’t have been for all the fun I was having.
To be continued...
Hey guys. Hope you're still enjoying this. I thank each an every single one of you for reading these, and giving me great feed back. It really means a lot. Thanks again.
