“You did it, you should know how to fix it.” I told him.
“I don’t know. Oh god, she’s freaking out. I’m sorry.” Now he was starting to become panicked.
I sighed. “Ray, do you think you might be able to search through his head and find something to fix this?”
“I’ll try.”
By now, Adrian was practically having a complete break down. Frank had sat her in a chair, and was trying to comfort her.
I was too busy trying to figure out anyway that we could fix this. Maybe now Gerard would be more reluctant to his powers when he doesn’t need too.
“Does anyone know where Sister is? She might be able to help.”
“She stopped by before you and Adrian came down, and told us she was would in the garden for a while.” Mikey told me.
I nodded. “I’m going to go find her.” With that I left the room, and went outside to the side of the house where the garden was located.
The garden was fucking huge, and there was no basic pathway either. I just wandered around trusting my gut on which way to go. It must have been at least five or ten minutes until I came across Sister.
“Sister,” I called to her to get her attention. She turned to look at me. “We have a problem.”
Her facial features to on a look of slight worry. “What is it, dear?”
“Adrian can’t talk, and we don’t know what to do. Please come and help.” I was already half turned around, and ready and find my way out of the garden.
Sister relaxed a little, but did hurry past me, and I followed her out of the garden. She seemed to know exactly where she was going. It only took a few minutes until we exited the garden from where I had entered.
Once inside, we immediately went to the dining area.
Adrian was still sitting in the chair Frank had had her sit on. He, Mikey, And Ray were more standing to either side of her. Gerard was standing, slightly alienated, off to the side more.
“What happened?” Sister asked.
“I didn’t mean to. I just snapped.” Gee slightly mumbled trying to make amends.
“He told her to shut up.” Frank elaborated. “She can’t talk at all now.”
“Oh.” Sister sighed in relief. “I know just what to do. You must drink some of the water from The Fountain. The water there has properties that cures any afflication to the throat.” She explained.
“Where is it?” Mikey asked.
“Here.” She produced a crumbled and yellowed paper from a small bag at her hip, and handed it to him. “Just follow that map.”
“Aren’t you going to join us?” I asked her.
“I’m afraid I can not.” I was about to ask why, but thought better, for there might be some long story behind it. We didn’t have the time to waste.
“Let’s get going then.” Frank said.
I thanked Sister for her help on our way out of the house.
Mikey took the lead with the map in his hands. The rest of us just kind of walked in a clump behind him, Gerard taking up residence in the back.
“Sam,” I turned my head to see what Ray wanted. “Adrian told me to tell you that there’s a leaf in your hair.”
“Thanks.” I raked my fingers through my hair, until I found the leaf, and got it out. I was kind of curious as to how Ray knew what Adrian wanted to tell me. Then I remembered he was a mind reader, and was probably going to be Adrian’s voice until she got her own back.
“I owe you big time Adrian.” Gee piped up from the back.
“She says that you do.” Ray informed him. “What?” He turned to look at Adrian with a strange look. “Okay. She wants you to carry her the whole way to The Fountain.”
“That’s all you want?” I asked her. If I were her I’d want so much.
“That’s just the beginning.” Ray assured me for her.
“Oh God, fine. Get on my back.” Gerard bent over some, so Adrian could climb onto his shoulders.
“Aw, I want a ride too.” Frank pouted.
Maybe I could make his day. Maybe.
“Ever gone horseback riding?” I asked him.
“I love it.” He said, although his voice sounded a little skeptical as he thought about what I was getting at.
I chuckled. “Hop on.” I formed into a horse right after I finish saying that.
He gave a nervous laugh, but did get up onto my back.
“This is so weird.” Mikey remarked.
“Yeah.” Ray agreed.
“You’re soft.” Frank told me, as he stroked the fur on my neck. Oddly it felt good. I shook my head though, as if to tell myself that it shouldn’t.
We continued on for a good twenty minutes in complete silence. The only sounds were the occasional squawks of birds in the air, and the clip clop of my hooves on the ground.
To be continued....
Hello good readers! After sitting in the same classroom for nearly three periods now because I didn't have a midterm to do I decided to post some of this. I've also got one request from all of you. My good friend, and co-author of this story, is writing her own fiction titled "Zero Zero". It would be really awesome if you'd go check it out for her. Here's the first part: http://www.mychemicalromance.com/blog/flashdrive/zero-zero-first-entry Thanks so much for reading, and I hope you enjoyed this part.
