Mission: Revenge. Part 5. Re-Blog

Venom was first to arise from her slumber and join us outside the van.
“How long have you been up Bomb?” She asked me.
“Too long.”
“Will you go to sleep now?” Electric Aftermath practically begged.
“Yeah.” I yawned, and went inside the van to sleep. Me being me though couldn’t sleep with all the light, so I quickly gave up and went back outside.
“What are we going to do today?” Venom asked, as we were all sitting down to a breakfast of power pup.
“Um well, we’re still waiting for Flash Drive. Maybe we can scout around the area a little. See if there’s anywhere we could get some supplies, or something.” I answered.
“That sounds like a good idea.” Radio Star agreed with me.
We all finished our cans of ‘food’, and piled into the Suburban.
“I have another idea. Maybe Radio could teach me and Venom to drive. Considering she’s the only one who can drive currently, it might be a good idea if a couple other people could drive too.” I announced from the back of the car.
“I like that idea.” Venom said cheerfully.
“Sure thing guys. You’re right, it would be much better if someone besides me could drive.” Radio also agreed.
“So, we’ll just quickly patrol a few miles around the bed and breakfast. That means no dilly dallying girls.”
That earned me a chorus of groans from everyone. I just laughed a little.
After driving about for a couple of hours we came across nothing within the general vicinity of the bed and breakfast. It was a slight disappointment to us all. Although Venom and I didn’t mind too much because it meant we could learn to drive sooner.
“Okay,” Radio Star began. “We’re going to do this my way or the highway. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.”
Acidic Venom and I both just nodded. With that Radio immediately starting going on about how to start the car, and how to operate it. Then she showed us how everything was done, before letting us try for ourselves.
I was up first. Radio was in the passengers sit next to me in the drivers seat. I went through everything she had just told me, and started the car with ease. Now all I had to do was drive.
Surprisingly it wasn’t that hard. Until I had to turn that is. At first my turns were way too wide, then too tight. After a few dozen tries I finally managed to turn pretty nicely. I was glad to find out we didn’t have to worry about parking too much considering we would mostly be in the desert from now on. Although I was going to have to learn how to go in reverse.
That would wait a little though, because it was Venom’s turn to give driving a try. I saw her a few times laughing at me while I was driving, and was hoping she would be just as bad as me, if not worse, so I could do the same.
“Have fun” I told her sarcastically as I threw the keys at her.
“How hard can it be?” She laughed.
Like me she had an easy time getting the car started, and I could see the triumphant smile on her face. After that though things didn’t go quite as smoothly as they had for me.
She kept trying to go too fast, and then would brake too hard. I was on the ground laughing at her. Then I caught a glimpse of Radio star’s face, and completely lost it. Radio looked absolutely petrified with fear that Venom would crash. I didn’t see how that was possible considering there was nothing to crash into.
It wasn’t long before the I heard Radio yelling at Venom, and soon after that Venom was stalking towards holding the keys out to me.
“Not as easy as you thought, huh?” I asked trying to suppress my laughter.
“Shut up.” She spat at me.
I just laughed, and walked back to Radio in the Suburban.
“That was scary.” Radio greeted me.
“Ha.”
“Anyway, you ready to try reverse now?”
“Do I have a choice?”
“No.” She chuckled.
With that I started the car, and put it into reverse. I cautiously began to back the car up slowly, not wanting to pull a Venom.
“You’re doing good.” Radio assured me. “Try speeding it up a little.”
I did as she said, and increased the speed a couple miles per hour.
“Nice. Now we’re going to try turning backwards. You shouldn’t need to know this, but if you ever need it, you’ll know it.”
Now I was really nervous. Without much hesitation I gave it a try, and didn’t do too bad.
“That’s good enough for now. You can practice some more later.”
“Thanks for teaching me Radio.”
“No problem. It might be helpful later.”
We both got out of the car after I parked it back where we were keeping it for now. Everyone else was just sitting around chatting.
I yawned as I joined the circle next to Venom and Radio.
“You can sleep now.” Electric Aftermath told me. “You really should too.”
“Eh, maybe.” I yawned again.
They continued to talk, and I tried to stay up and listen. Eventually sleep did get the best of me, and I closed my eyes and slept.
I didn’t know how long it had been, but I was woken up by Radio Star shaking me awake.
“What is it?” I half mumbled, opening my eyes to the bright orange of a sunset.
“Flash Drive.” She said matter of factly.

To be continued...
So this is the last of the re-blogs. New parts will start tomorrow(hopefully), if not then, it will be on Tuesday.

Don't let the bed bugs bite,
Sleep tight, and sweet dreams.
