Mission: Revenge. Part 40.

“God dammit! It burns!” He was covering his face with his hands.
“Welcome home.” Flash said sounding unsure of her words.
“Shut up and get the first aid kit.” Party barked. I was already on it, and was in the back room looking for it. It took me a moment, but I did find it.
Flash was talking to Party about what had happened. Apparently the guys got into an argument about him being too hard on Flash Drive during training, and he went off on his own. Everyone else was still safe in the Trans Am though.
“Well you don’t have to be a hard ass all the time.” Flash told him.
“Yeah, sorry.” Party apologized to her.
“Forget that right now. Let me see how bad it is.” I had the first kit open and at my side.
Party lifts his head so I can see his face. All of it was bloody and starting to char in certain places. He’d probably lost the entire first layer of his skin, maybe two.
“So?” He questioned, looking at me. He must have used his sunglasses or goggles to protect his eyes.
“It doesn’t look too pretty. This might sting a little.” I took a damp cloth and wiped away the blood. There wasn’t as much of it as I had thought, which was good. The remaining skin was still flaming red, nearly the same color as his hair. I looked thru the different creams in the first aid kit until I found burn cream. I gently applied that. Occasionally he winced when I touched him or the cream really got into a burnt area.
“You done?” He asked.
“Well I’d like to do skin grafts,” His eyes flickered opened a little more and his pupils widened. I knew he was afraid of needles. I chuckled, “but we don’t the equipment for that.” He immediately calmed back down and nodded.
“You’re like a doctor.” Flash told me.
“I’ve always just thought of it as first aid. I am, well was, first aid certified.” I responded to her comment.
“Which it is, I’m just glad you have it. The only thing that would make me happier would be if you could fix my jacket.” Party remarked. His jacket had sustained some damage from the acid rain.
I just smiled. “Actually,” I began.
“You can sew too?” He asked, disbelievingly.
“Just give me the jacket.” I held my hand out as he removed his jacket, and gave it to me.
With his jacket slung over my shoulder I went to me and Flash’s room to get to work on mending it. I kept my sewing stuff in the cabinet the guys brought in for me. There was another one for Flash too. I sat down on the bed, and began to rifle through all the different colors of thread I had until I found a color similar to the color of Party’s jacket.
I had barely made a single stitch when I heard shouting from outside my door.
“That’s it!” I caught Flash yelling.
I put all my stuff onto the bed, and walked back out to see what the hell was going on. Flash Drive was standing in the middle of Party and Fun. Fun Ghoul was holding a hand to his face, but his eye screamed anger not pain. Party’s eyes had the same emotion behind them, but the look was intensified by the wounds on his face. Everyone else was just staring at her, dumbfounded.
“What the fuck is going on?” I asked from behind everyone.
Flash turned around to face me. “Everyone’s fighting, and I’ve had enough. Let’s just sort this out, and go back to acting like the family we are. Families shouldn’t fight like this.” She explained.
I was still slightly confused, but I thought that I kind of understood what was going on. Everyone was still mad at Party, and Party probably got a little carried away and hit Fun. That would explain why he’s clutching his cheek.
Party sighed. “You okay, Fun?”
“Whatever.” He responded, dropping his hand and revealing a red bruise forming.
I may not have known exactly what was going on, but I was going to try and make things right anyway. “That’s exactly what Flash is talking about. Both of you apologize to each other.” I received looks from both Party and Fun. “Now.” I demanded.
“Fine.” Party sighed, and looked back to Fun. “I’m sorry.” He meant it, I could tell.
“I’m sorry too.” Fun said with meaning as well. That was easier than I thought it would be.
“Who's going to train me now?” Flash pondered aloud. It was a good question, I had just the answer.
“Before any of you say anything, I have a question for Flash . Who do you want to train you?” I put extra emphasis on ‘you’.
“I don’t know. Not Party though.” She answered.
“Hey,” He began to protest.
“Hey yourself. It's her choice.” I interrupted him.
“But,” He tried again.
“But nothing. God, you’re worse than a child sometimes.”
“Chill.” Flash said. “I choose, Jet Star.”
“Cool with me Shorty.” Jet agreed.
“Glad that’s all settled.” Kobra Kid announced. “You’re okay though, right bro?” He asked Party Poison.
“I’ll be fine thanks to Bomb.” He smiled at me.
“Don’t sweat it. I’ll be done fixing your jacket by tomorrow too.”
“You’re awesome.”
“I know.” With that I walked back into my and Flash’s room to finish with his jacket. It was simple work. Just a few stitches here and there where the acid really got into the leather. I was done within an hour.
Right as I put all my supplies back in their drawer Flash and Party walked in with Mo on their heels.
“Mo could use a little more training.” Party began without even saying hello. “Is dog training on the list of things you can do?”
“I’ve never actually done it, but I’ll give it a try.” I answered.
“I used to train show dogs.” Flash offered.
“Really?” Party asked her.
“Yup.”
“This should be a breeze then.”
We walked outside. I guess in the time it took me to fix Party’s jacket the rain had stopped and the sun evaporated all the remaining puddles.
We made fast working of teaching Mo to sit, lay down, and roll over. He was very obedient, and cute.

To be continued...
4 more parts my dear friends, and so much to expect too. And did I forget to mention a huge surprise that will accompany the ending of Mission: Revenge? I think I might have. Oh well, enjoy this latest installment.
