Mission: Revenge. Part 36.

Flash Drive was sitting in one of the booths sipping at a mug of coffee.
“Did you stay up all night?” I questioned her.
“Yeah.” She answered.
“You’ll be tired after training.”
“I know. I can’t be helpless anymore though.”
Right then, Party lazily came in.
He looked surprised to see Flash up, but not so much so. He’d yet to have his coffee so he wasn’t yet capable of proper emotions.
“You’re awake?” He cocked an eyebrow. She nodded with a smile. “Coffee first. Then training.” He went to get his mug of coffee.
Everyone else came out of their rooms as well and got their own coffee. Once everyone was awake enough we went out back to where the targets were set up.
“We’re going to do target practice first.” Party instructed. I could tell he was in training mode. He always got such an attitude when we trained. I hated it. “Flash Drive, you watch everyone else shoot first. Then you can give it a try.”
She nods, and we all took out our ray guns and, one at a time, took aim and shot down the targets with ease. When we were all finished, Flash took her turn.
She tried to take aim, but I could tell it was a miss before she pulled the trigger.
“Again.” Party instructed.
She tried it again. Miss.
“Again.”
Flash continued to try shooting down the targets, but kept missing.
“Here. Let me help her.” I offered.
“No.” Party told me sternly.
“You’re a jackass when you’re serious. You know that?”
“Whatever. She’ll get this on her own. One way or another. Now, again.”
‘If looks could kill.’ I thought when I looked over to Flash. I was surprised that her eyes hadn’t turned red out of hatred.
I was even more surprised when she quickly raised her ray gun and fired a shot off at Party’s head.
It happened so fast I wasn’t even sure it was her who had fired the shot. Luckily Party managed to duck and missed being hit square between the eyes by the ray.
“Sorry.” She quickly squealed, looking it too.
“No no. That’s good.” Party spoke calmly, dusting himself off. “I think we can use this to our advantage. What else makes you angry?”
“You calling me short, Dracs, um, not much really.” She answered him. Confusion slightly twisted into her words.
“Try thinking of one of those targets are one of those things you hate.” He paused before adding with a devilish smile, “Shorty.”
The anger that had been her eyes flicked back, but she turned and focused it on the targets instead of Party this time. I noticed she mumbled something under her breath before pulling trigger.
It was a bullseye.
We all clapped, except for Party.
“Alright, now that that’s settled, let’s move onto a little hand to hand combat.” Party moved things along. I still really hated how he acted when training.
We moved out of the way of the targets a little so it was just open desert where we could spar without hitting anything.
“Flash, I just want you to watch for today. Tomorrow you can fight Bomb. Jet and Fun, you’re up first.”
Jet Star and Fun Ghoul face off to each other, and start throwing and blocking punches. A few kicks. I kept good tabs on who was doing what, and reviewing the moves in my head. Soon enough Jet had Fun pinned to the ground. It just took Fun one simple miss, and Jet was on top of him.
“Alright Kobra, our turn.”
Party and his brother faced off, and started a similar battle as Jet and Fun’s. I didn’t pay as much attention this time. I was more thinking about what moves I could use when it was my turn.
Soon enough Kobra had gotten Party in a headlock. I wished I would have seen it, because it was a rare occasion that someone beat Party. You could see Kobra was enjoying the victory too, He had the biggest grin on his face. Party didn’t show or say anything about it though.
“Bomb you’re up against Fun.” Was all he said.
“Why is that I only ever get to spar with Fun?” I demanded. Every single time it was me against him. I was tired of it. I knew his moves, and he knew mine. It was boring, and always ended with one of us deciding to let the other win.
“Because he’s the only one on your size. Chances are you’ll break something if you fight any other of us.” Party yelled back at me.
“Please. I could probably take Kobra on with ease.”
“Just fight with Fun!”
I sighed, and gave in. You just couldn’t talk to him like this.
“You can win this time.” Fun whispered to me as we were facing off.
I just smiled, and went to kick him in the jewels, my classic starting move.
He easily backed away and I missed, but he was back in my face throwing a punch at my head. I blocked it with my arm, and swung my leg out to kick his legs out. He didn’t see it coming, and fell to the ground. As he fell he grabbed onto my jacket sleeve, and brought me down with him.
We wrestled on the ground for a little, until it wasn’t really fun anymore. The look of boredom on Fun’s face told me it was time for me to just finish this. I got him into a headlock without much of a struggle, and that was that.
“Good. Flash you’ll be doing that tomorrow, so I hope you were paying attention.” Party told her.
She had been sitting on the ground petting Mo while we were sparring. Her eyes were drooping and she just fell over asleep.
Party strutted over to her, and bent down next to her.
“Wake Up!” He yelled, practically right in her ear.
“What?!” She shot up, awake.
“We’re going for a run.”
“Can’t I run later?”
“No, we’re running now. Let’s go.”
She got up from the ground, and we all started at a jog around the Diner and onto Route Guano. Once on Route Guano we broke out into a run. We ran a mile in one direction, and then a mile back to the Diner for a complete two mile run. The whole way Flash was last in the line, I somehow managed to stay near the front right behind Party.
“You tired now?” I asked her, as we walked inside.
“How the hell do you do this Bomb?” She asked, exhausted.
“You’ll get used to it.” I assured her.
She plopped down face first into a booth, and immediately was asleep with Mo curled up on top of her.
“I thought she was going to die.” Fun remarked.
“She said she wanted to train, so she trained.” Party said nonchalantly.
“That’s still no excuse to push her that hard. Maybe we could tone things down a little for her first few days. Let her get used to it.” I suggested.
“No.” She moaned, her face still pressed into the booth cushions.
“I guess she wants to push herself.” Jet commented.
“To death.” Fun added for him
“Shut up, Fun.” I told him. That wasn’t funny.
“Even if she had said yes, I wouldn't have made things any easier.” Party told us all.
“Whatever.” I went into me and Flash’s room and layed down to rest my body a little. I ended up falling asleep in the end. I woke up late in the evening. Flash was still out cold in the booth.
I thought about waking her up and putting her in our bed, but decided to just let her sleep where she was.

To be continued....
I'm warning you now, things are going to heat up in the near future. Prepare yourself.
