“Shit. We’ll talk about this later. We’ve got bigger problems.” I pointed towards the van so she would look at what had caused my distress.
“Fuck. How did they find us?”
“I don’t know.” I dragged her off the road, behind a boulder not too far from the road. Lucky the van was pretty far ahead, so if any Dracs were with it they didn’t see or hear us.
I pulled a pair of binoculars off of my belt, and took a closer look at the van using them. There was someone with the van.
They were kicking the front end of the van as if they were trying to get it to work. That doesn’t seem like something a Drac a do. I looked even closer at the person, and I was right. It wasn’t a Drac at all.
It was Acidic Venom. It was hard to tell at first because she was missing her black trench coat. I was sure it was her though.
“Holy shit! It’s Venom!”
Without asking Flash ripped the binoculars from my grasp and took a look for herself.
“Do you think she’s brainwashed or anything?” She questioned, lowering the binoculars from her face.
“I highly doubt it. First of all she’s alone. Secondly, She’s kicking the car to try and make it work. That’s typical Venom, nothing a Drac would do. We’re still going to be careful though.” I cautioned. “You get back to the Diner as quick as possible. I’ll get her, and then go back too.”
She nodded, and started jogging back in the direction of the Diner. I sighed, before getting up from my crouching position behind the boulder, and approaching Venom.
The entire time I was walking towards her, she didn’t notice me at all. She was too preoccupied with the car. That was slightly odd. She always seemed to just know when someone was coming up from behind her. Ruined so many of my pranks.
When I was just about right behind her, I spoke up. “Venom? Is that you?” I asked with caution, and general curiosity.
“Bomb?” She had turned, and looked me straight in the eye. Her icy blue eyes just the way I remembered them.
We just stood there looking into each others for awhile. Trying to believe that this reunion was real. None of it felt real to me, but at the same time I couldn’t escape the thought that my best friend was still alive. There was no way I would ever lose her again, not if it could be helped.
“Glad to have you back, Venom.” I said, holding a tear back. “Come on. We’re not too far from the Diner.”
She just nodded, and we began our walk back to the Diner. It was a silent walk. Me still hoping this was true, but knowing something probably wasn’t right. I was also wondering what Venom could have been thinking. Something I always did in situations like this was wanting to know what other people thought of the scenario.
We made it back to the Diner without any words having been exchanged from the either of us. Just as silently we entered to find everyone, but Flash Drive who must have been in our room, sitting at a booth together. I guess Party and Kobra must have radioed Jet and Fun to tell them to get back.
“Venom,” Party Poison began. His toned ensued that this would be more like an interrogation than a conversation. “Where were you, and what happened?”
