The Afterlife part 20

"How much further?" Jordyn whines.
"Not too far." Todd said getting annoyed with her.
We'd woke up this morning, and left immediately. Todd had William and I teleport us all to an undisclosed location several miles from our destination. Apparently we couldn't just teleport directly there because it was too dangerous. Since then we've been walking, and at this point I'd lost track of the hours that have passed.
"Now, there's some things I must warn you about. We are headed to an ally camp very close to the Dark Grounds. Do not worry, it is very secure, but also very large. The people there are there to aid you in the pending war. These people aren't like you though. You see, their leader, Dallas, has different views than I. She allows then to flaunt their abilities. As against this as I am, Dallas has convinced me to allow you to do the same. So, Kelly you may use whatever of your abilities you like, and even show your wings all the time. William you may teleport anywhere and everywhere, the same for your hearing. Jorydn though, I urge you to be careful, and keep your temper down. Any questions?" Todd explained.
We all exchanged a look, and smiled. To answer Todd I let my wings out, and we all laughed.
Todd just sighed.
Up ahead we could finally see the camp. I wasn't expecting much as per usual, and yet again was surprised by what I saw.
It was like a large castle wall. A huge gate leading behind the tall stone wall into the camp.
As we came closer tot he gate Todd told us to stop several feet before it. The gate lowered down so we could enter.
"Did they know we were here?" I asked.
"Not exactly. The gatekeeper can talk to people telepathically, and he heard us coming. So he asked me who we were, and then let us in." Todd told me.
"Oh, cool."
Inside the walls, the gate closed behind us. Todd was right, this was a large camp. People walked among wooden cabins that were everyone before us. One women in particular was walking straight up to us.
She had long, wavy dirty blonde hair. Her eyes were a dark mahogany red. She was wearing a Gothic style black jacket style dress that looked great against her pale white skin. It was a very medieval look, but she made it work.
"Dallas." Todd formally addressed her.
"Todd." She responded, and they briskly shook hands. "Who have we here."
"This is William and Jordyn." Todd gestured tot hem, and they waved. "And this is Kelly."
"That's her, huh?"" Todd nodded. "Okay. What can you do little one?"
"Well, according to you. You think that i can't do much of anything." I smirked after reading her mind.
"Oh great, you can read minds. I've got a few dozen others that can do the same. How about those wings? Do you know how to use them?"
Now I was pissed. So much so that I didn't even bother with words. I just took off running, and made for the air. Circling above them I could just make out a light smile on Dallas's face.
I landed back where I had been standing. "Well?" I asked with a bit of anger in my voice.
"Well what? Is that all you got?" Dallas continued to make me angrier.
"I swear..." I mumbled. Clenching my fists. Fire wrapped around them. It wasn't enough. Dallas had me at a point where murder sounded like a good idea. One ward was all it would take. I opened my mouth to say it, but Will stopped me.
"Calm down." He warned. He tried to put a hand on my shoulder, but quickly pulled away. My skin must have felt like boiling water.
I managed to take a few breaths and cool down a little. Dallas was just smiling away. "Follow me." She said, turning around and walking away.
We did as she said, and walked through the many cabins until we come to an empty near the center of them all. "You children will be staying here." Dallas said. "Now I suggest you get to know your neighbors. They will be your guides for the next few day, until you get to know the place. I would do it myself, but I've got more important things to do. I will be back here after dinner for you though." She pointed at me.
With that her and Todd left. We went inside our cabin to see what we had. Nothing was the answer. The entire place was completely empty.
"I'll go get our stuff." Will sighed.
"I'll help you." I said.
We both teleported back and forth from the cabin to the mansion getting our stuff from our bedrooms.
When we were finished we had our beds, and dressers. Jordyn's C shelf, and stereo. And a single desk that we decided we could share.
"Okay. I guess we should do as Dallas said, and meet some people." Jordyn said.

To be continued...
Okay, some of you may know that I planned on discontinuing this story. I've got news though. My friend(13secrets) has offered to continue writing. Her writing will pick up in the middle of part 21. The parts won't be as frequent as they were because she is a busy person, but I will be posting them for her as much as possible.
Comments please.
