The Afterlife part 17

We all followed Abby to a corner shop near the end of the complex. The store had a sign outside that read 'Traffic." It wasn't a very large store, just a little smaller than most of the others.
Inside was completely empty. Abby must have taken all the shelves and merchandise out already.
"My plan is to move some Mannequins from other stores into here. Maybe crash some shelves in various places. Then we'll just dump paint on everything, and add details."
"Sounds like it will be awesome." Jordyn said, and we all agreed.
"All right then. Will and Kelly. Could you two get the mannequins?"
"No problem." William answered, while i just nodded.
"Great. The rest of us will get paint, and whatever else we think we might need."
Wave, Jordyn, and Abby all went to find paints and such. While William and I started teleporting to the different shops across the complex. By the time they came back with their supplies, we'd got a huge pile of mannequins.
"Okay. Everyone grab a mannequin, and start creating." Abby told us all.
I grabbed a female mannequin and the red, orange, and yellow paints. What I had in mind was going to take awhile. Then again, everyone will probably have something spectacular in mind, and will take as long as me.
Two hours later I was just about done. I'd painted a pattern of flames of lava all over the mannequins. There was just one more touch I wanted to add.
Before I did though, I took a look at everyone else's work. William made his look like the earth and grass. He even glued some rocks on it for effect.
Jordyn painted a gray haze over hers with streaks of faded colors in the pattern too. Upon a closer look I noticed there was a city scape hidden behind the haze.
Wave made his look like the ocean. Blued fading from lights to dark's. Completed with strips of blue fabric dangling from it.
As usual though, Abby's was most amazing. She's painted the mannequin with spots of several different animal prints. Claws were on each of the fingers, and the mouth was painted as a snarling wild cat. To top it all off she found peacock feathers and made a tail out of them. It looked awesome.
Having seen everyone else's creations I was ready to finish mine. I held my hand up in front of my mannequin causing it to burst into flames. Before it could burn completely I lowered my hand, and the flames extinguished themselves.
Everyone was staring at my now finished creations. The flames pattern was still intact, but it was brought to life with the ash from the real flames. It looked even cooler over the slightly melted plastic mannequin.
"I think that might be better than Abby's for once." William joked. We all laughed.
"Oh please. Abby's is absolutely amazing. Mine doesn't even compare." I said.
"Now, now. We all did good today. Everyone's mannequin is great." Abby complimented us all. "Let's do the inside of the shop now."
"We all grabbed the remaining cans of paint, and took them into the shop.
"Okay. You each get one wall to decorate so that it matches your mannequin."
"Where's your mannequin going to be then?" Wave asked.
In answer she pointed to the ceiling. "I'm using the ceiling. And in order to do that I'm going to need a little assistance from you, Kelly. When you're done of course."
"Not a problem."
We all got to work on our own walls. Abby helped Jorydn with hers while she waited for me to finish.
I had a simple plan. I took full cans of red, orange, and yellow paint. I threw the contents of each can onto the wall, letting the colors drip, and swirl together on their own. Finally, I used some black paint for scorch marks, and detailing some flames into the splatters.
I stepped back to admire my work. It was great, slightly different than the mannequin, but the color scheme matched perfectly.
As I looked at the smaller details I'd created I had an idea for one last thing. I took the remaining of the black and red paints and smeared then onto my right hand. I dragged my hand down the wall a few feet above the ground.
That was it. My masterpiece was complete. All there was left to do was help Abby decorate the ceiling.

To be continued....
