Sorry its short, but there needed to be suspense of some kind. Hope you enjoy, leave a comment.
Half an hour later I chucked up over the side of the truck, hoping I hadn’t gotten any on the glossy paint job; we were in the open back of it. The other guys had gone to some other land rovers parked further down the road, but the guy in charge was driving us. Tracston, or whatever he said his name was.
And of course Frank was in the front seat.
Arguments….Brake slam….Arguments….Throw up….
Sophie was in the back seat with Mikey, after I had convinced him to go there instead of me. I was regretting it slightly, as the cold air whipped past my face, drying up the blood on my arm, staining it. I was leaning on Gerard’s chest, with Ray and Tom opposite us. They kept smiling weakly at me.
I played some bands through my head to keep me from concentrating on what felt like sick creeping up through my throat. It started spitting on rain.
I feel it’s gonna rain like this for days….So let it rain down and wash away the pain…
That would be bloody good.
“Tracston?” Gerard banged his fist hard on the window.
“What is it?” Mikey mouthed.
“How long till we get there?”
Mikey turned to ask him, and held up five fingers.
“Hold on….We’re almost there,” he murmured in my ear.
I groaned, “I’m fine…”
He chuckled, “as if.”
“Yeah well….” I smirked.
We sat in silence for a few minutes, listening to the rain. My hair slowly got damp, water starting to go down my neck.
I started to daydream, pretending I was back in high school. A loner wandering the corridors with books, and earphones blasting rock music.
Those were the days.
There was a massive bump in the road, and my stomach flew to my chest; I got to the side just in time. I wasn’t so lucky this time; it hit right at the bottom.
My throat burned for a bit, making me wretch some more.
“Good job you got it out your system….We’re here.”
He pointed to a white city, shining through the rain.
