In Love With All Of These Vampires Chapter Twenty

Ray's POV:
Wow. This girl is so annoying. I caught her before she fell. Her body was limp in my arms. She doesn't weigh much. Or is it just my vampire strength kicking in? She mumbled something. Even with my vampire hearing I could barely decifer what she said. It was something about pain and horror. What's her problem? I sighed and rubbed the bridge of my nose. Part of me wanted to ignore the girl's words, and the other part wanted to take some extra precautions. I really shouldn't listen to the little human girl, but... better safe than sorry. I can't believe I'm actually trusting this human. I walked a bit more to the house. I found some bushes and hid the girl behind them. Her hair fell around her shoulders perfectly. Why would I even notive something like that?!Hopefully, she won't be seen. Ok. Let's see. What can I change into to see what's going on in my house. A bat! I can peek through one of the windows. Perfect! I close my eyes and imagine myself shrinking, becoming a bat. I could feel my bones crunching, compressing. My entire skeletral structure changed. My skin stretched and folded in on itself. You would think it would hurt, but strangely, it didn't. To me, it felt as if I was stretching or something. It felt normal, natural. My clothes stuck to my skin and became one. My skin then became fur. My arms became wings and the rest of my body followed. I flapped my wings, and I took off. I could barely see anything. I let out a sonic sound through my mouth and in a flash, I saw everything. It lasted a second, but I knew where everything was. My bat insticts wanted to fly around and try to get to the moon. I knew how to control it though, put it off to the side. I flew to the top floor and found a window. I used my echolocation to see if there was anything inside. Nope. Maybe lower. First floor. I fly down. No one on the first floor. Well, the only other place they could be is the basement. In bat form, I can't get to them. I'll have to change again. I glided to the ground. I started changing again. It wasn't that much different than a bat. My wings closed in around my body and merged with it. My little arms sprouted in front of me, and my legs hanged just a bit. The rest of me pretty much stayed the same. My snout got longer and my teeth bigger though. When my bones finally stopped crunching and changing, I was a rat. I had the urge to scurry into a small place, but I resisted. I need to get into the basement without being conspicuous.I ran to the wall and began biting through the entire thing. Rat's teeth are very strong and sharp. They can bite through steel. The wall didn't really taste like anything. I could just feel the texture. I craved it though. I don't know how long it took me, but I ended up in a clearing. A wide open space. The basement. I only saw feet, so I looked up. What I saw chilled me to the bone. My best friends were chained up. Gee was being burned by the chain. It must be made of iron. There were many lacerations on him. He looked like he could leave us at any second. I was so distrarcted by Gee that I almost didn't notice Frankie. He didn't look as bad as Gee, but he was absolutely terrified. I could tell. What was on his neck? Puncture marks? As in, a vampire bit him? Who would do something like that?
"Ahhh. Ray. You've come at last." The voice sounded like Mikey's, yet it was somehow different.I looked up to see Mikey in the doorway. He looked just as different than his voice. "We've been waitin for you." He slowly approached me. I squeaked and scurried back to my hole. I stopped half way because suddenly, I felt as if I were on fire. I squeaked and fell onto my side. "Change, Ray. You don't want me to use my power again, right?" He smiled cruely. I wiggled off of my side and slowly inched backwards. He tsked at me and shook his head. One suspenceful foot at a time, he came to me. I took off toward my hole again. This time when I fell, I felt blood pool around me. "Change." I did as he commanded and changed back into my normal self. I was still bleeding on the floor when I was finished changing.
"Happy?" I clambered to my feet. His smile grew.
"Not even close." He shot a hand out toward me, and I went flying against the wall. I heard my back make a sickening crunch sound. I fell foward onto my face, my arms sprawled out beside me. I let out a groan. "Wow. I just keep advancing in my powers. I didn't even know I could do that. Things just keep getting better for me. And I know how to make it even better." I tried to get up, but he used his powers on me again. I fell limp and couldn't use any of my muscles. I've been here no more than two minutes and am already defeated.
"How can you make it better? You already drank vampire blood. You're already so powerful. What can you possibly do to make this 'better'?" I asked him. I could barely even talk. How sad is that? He went over to Frank and tilted his lowered face to look him in the eye. Frank shuddered at his touch. I could see by the look on his face that he could crap his pants at any moment. Mikey ran a finger down his neck. Frank looked away. I feel so sorry for him.
"You see, Ray, little Frankie here won't have enough blood forever. That's why you're here. I'm going to take a break from Frankie and try some of your blood. His was disgusting. Maybe your's will be different." He took slow casual steps toward me. He kneeled down in front of me and forced my head up to look at him. There was this evil little glint in his eyes.
"Why won't you drink any of Gerard's blood? Too afraid he's going to overpower you?" I spit out at him. His face became enraged and his grip tightened for just a moment. The next moment, he eased up.
"Oh, Ray. Of course that's not the reason. I'm torturing him. He has to watch and hear his friends be tortured while knowing he can't do anything about it. Isn't that right, Gerard?" He called over his shoulder.
"Yes, Mikey," he said in a shaky voice.
"How could you do this, Mikey? We were your friends." He looked at me. His eyes were hard and cold.
"We were never friends. You all were friends with my brother. You just hung out with me because I was related to him. I'm getting you guys back for every time he was mean to me whilst you guys just stood there, staring. Now, Ray." His eyes started glowing red. "It's time for me to taste your blood." Mikey still had my face in his hands. I tried to pull it away, but he wouldn't let go. He turned my head to the side exposing my neck. I felt his breath on my neck right before his fangs plunged into neck.
Amber's POV:
I shot up from where I was lying on the ground. I covered my mouth to keep from screaming, and my other hand went to my neck. It was absolute darkness. I started hyperventalating but soon stopped when I remembered what had happened. I need to get away. I slowly stood up. Nothing but darkness. How am I going to get home-well Christina's home? I guess I'll just have to feel my way around. I put my hands out in front of me, moving them around, trying to feel SOMETHING. I could tell that I was standing on grass and that there were bushes all around. That's all I could tell besides that it was night. I just have to get going. The worst part was how silent it was. There weren't any crickets chirping, or night birds hooting. The leaves in the bushes didn't even make a noise when the wind blew softly. Well, I guess that wasn't the worst part. I've always been afraid of the dark. Well, not the dark specifically but what lies in the dark. I kept taking beby steps until my hands came in contact with something that felt like a brick wall. I can just follow this until I can see again. I made my way slowly, feeling my way through. Not very long after, I felt the presence of, can you guess...
"Vampires." They knew that I knew about vampires. I could just tell. I broke out into a run, one arm brushing against the wall to make I was going the right way. Well, the way I was going. Suddenly, a loud peircing scream met my ears. I stopped running and covered my ears. It didn't help. It was echoing against my skull, forcing its way through the crevices in my brain. I...have to...keep going. I made myself keep moving at a running pace. The scream just kept bouncing around my skull. Wait. Which way am I going? Is this the way I was going before? Or is it the way back to where Ray was taking me? The screaming has ruined my sense of direction. Great. I just have to keep going. I continued running. I could tell that there was a vampire in front of me. How am I going to avoid him without losing track of the wall? All at once, as I thought that, the screaming stopped. The vampires vanished, and I stopped running. I knew that vampires could leave in the blink of an eye, but I just don't think that is what happened. I think I just can't sense them. I need to keep going...maybe after just a brief break. I leaned against the wall. Maybe I can just close my eyes for a second. Why am I so tired? They must have drained my energy. I still feel like I'm being drained. So cold. I feel so cold. I slowly slid down the wall into a sitting position. They're coming. I don't need to have super heaing to hear the footsteps. There's so many of them... Oh... no...

Sorry for the delay! I've been very busy! I was writing this for three days, but I never had a chance to post it. Did you guys like it? Was it worth the wait? Comment your answer!
