In Love With All Of These Vampires Chapter Six

I'm on edge the entire time we walk to school. I'm always expecting a vampire to pop out of the shadows. Today was a very cloudy day, and what I saw a few days ago didn't help. I still don't know what I saw, if I even DID see something. Maybe I'm just being paranoid. Well, after what I've seen, I wouldn't be surprised if I was I was diagnosed with craziness. We finally get to school, and talk the entire time. We go through our daily classes. In our second period class, the lights went out, and I could barely see a thing. It was really creepy. Rain poured hard on the roof of the classroom. We continued the classes in a blackout. There was thunder and lighting. It made the day scarier than it should have been. We both went to after-school band. She practiced her flute while I practiced my vocals. We didn't bring an umbrella, so we had to walk in the pouring rain. After a few minutes, it started hailing. We took shelter under an awning by a grocery store. We stood there for a while watching the people running to get out of the hail and rain. We saw a group of girls coming from our direction. They headed to the other side of the street. More and more came.
"Why do you think they are all here?" I asked Christina.
"I don't know, but they are blocking our way to get home. We have to go the long way." Her words didn't prove to be true. The croud trapped us in. Oh well. We headed in the general direction of her house. The croud pushed us away, though. We ended up being pushed into an ally. We held each other. It was pitch black.
"Well, look at who we have here." Oh no. I reconize that voice. We both do. It's so easy to reconize. I think you guys can guess whose voice it is. Gerard's. We couldn't see him, but he was at the entrance of the ally. We felt along the walls to back up. We reached the end. Dead end. "Oh no," he said mockingly. "You're trapped at a dead end! How are you ever going to get away from the very.scary. vampires?" Another voice joined in. Moikey's.
"Gee. Even I know you know the answer. You aren't that stupid."
"Yeah." Ray.
"We all, even them, know that they aren't getting away this time." Frank. His voice was the coldest. It matched the weather. I reached out to the walls. My hand hits something metal and a ringing noise echos. I felt around. A ladder!
"Christina! Hurry! Climb!" I grabbed her and gave her a little push up the ladder. She went up quickly. The guys could have gotten to us, but I think they liked chasing us. Christina was high up, so I started climbing up the ladder. My attempt at climbing the ladder didn't last long. I was pulled off and shoved against a wall. Chiz. Not good. I was held there with one set of hands.
"We meet again. This time, you're not leaving without puncture wounds in your neck." I never knew Moikey could me so scary. I never knew someone who loved unicorns could be so frightening. He leaned in close to my neck. His breath tickled my neack. I giggled a little. It was an invalentary reflex. I squeezed my lips together to keep from giggling. I tried pushing him away, but he was like 17 years older than me and a vampire. Actually, since he is a vampire, he's probably WAAAAY older than me. I hear a scream coming from the top of the roof. Christina!
"Christina!" I don't know what's happening. It's not like last time. I can't just jump to see what's happening. She's on a ROOF! Moikey's lips touch my neck. Once again, I try to push him away, but he's too strong. He grabs my arms and pins them against the wall. I struggle against him, but it's no use. His mouth opens, and I can feel his teeth on my skin. It sends a shiver down my spine and makes goosebumps crawl all over my arms. I close my eyes tight and grind my teeth together. I brace myself for the pain, but it doesn't come. I open one eye at a time until both of them are open. Then, I loosen my jaw, so that I'm not grinding my teeth.
"Umm... not that I'm complaining, but why aren't you biting me? I mean, I can feel your fangs, but they aren't piercing my skin."
"Oh sorry. I'm just thinking." What could he POSSIBLY be thinking about right NOW?
"Oh don't apoligize. What are you tihnking about?" He doesn't need to apoligize. I'm happy that he isn't biting me. The only reason I asked what he was thinking about was because I needed to stall. I needed more time to form a plan.
"About why you care about that girl so much. You put her before yourself. Also, you're not screaming or shaking with fear. Most of our victims either scream and/or shake in fear. Why aren't YOU?"
"Wait. You're a vampire. Can't you just read my mind?"
"No. Different vampires can have different powers. Gee is the one who can read minds. I can control people sometimes. So answer my questions."
"I put her before myself because she's like my sister. You don't mess with my family. You can mess with me but not my family and close friends. I'm not screaming or anything because it's not going to change what you're about to do. If it's not going to work, don't do it. It's ben my motto for a long time." He didn't say anything. He opened his mouth again, but not to speak. To bite. I could feel his fangs about to pierce my skin.
"This is how it ends... for you. Goodbye." He bit hard. I gasped. The pain. Oh the pain. It was excruciating yet somehow bittersweet at the same time. It was mostly painful, but beneath it was the sweetness.
