Opinions?
I haven't been on here in quite a while, and after this little blog entry i probably wont be on here again for another while, but while im on, id just like to express my opinion on MCRs new album.
Its good, but its got nothing on MCRs old stuff, what happend to the Revenge era?
And before i start getting all these comments about how people change, let me assure you, i am quite aware that people do change.
Danger Days is quite different from MCRs previous albums, as no doubt some of you have noticed, Danger Days seems to have a very pop vibe to it, and if someone made me listen to Danger Days, lets say, 4 years ago and then tried to tell me that it was MCR, i would have told them to lay off the drugs, it seems to me that MCR are trying to be more mainstream with the new album, which doesnt necessarily have to be a bad thing, i mean their are a few mainstream artists out there which i think are quite good, not many, but their are a few.
From the moment i first heard MCR back in 2005, i though Gerard was a lyrical genius, but on Danger Days, i feel as if the lyrics are, somewhat lacking in meaning compared to previous albums, like Bullets.
Bullets is a fantastic album, its raw, agressive, beautiful and most importantly, its original.
When i listen to songs off some of their previous albums, i can feel the emotion behind the music, i can feel the emotion in Gerards voice, but on Danger Days, its not there, i cant feel the emotion, it just doesn't feel meaningful.
Well.
I've had my rant, granted its a little late, considering the album came out months ago.
I'd love to hear other peoples opinions.
So....
