okay so to fill in some cracks from the actual book Gone. Even though Cookie is one of Orc's 'goons' he was injuried in the meeting the 'leaders of the FAYZ' that Caine held I mentioned that last chapter. alsp with that kid i metioned with the mallet, in the book they just call him Mallet so that's who that is. also i will mention the book series Animorphous which was really popular when i was in third grade and it was really stupid.

*Juliet’s P.O.V*
It’s been one day since Caine and his friends took over the FAYZ. This girl Dahra runs the hospital, Albert runs the McDonalds still, Sam, Quinn and Edilio run the fire station, and this girl Mary, her brother John (who are now referred to as ‘Mother Mary’ and ‘Brother John’) and a pair of twins run the day care. Orc and his goons are ‘police’ and Drake is the sheriff.
Kat, Harmony, and I stood reading the new FAYZ laws Caine had written. They were posted on the door of the hardware store. These sound so stupid! It basically let’s Caine and his friends do whatever they want! There’s one weird one though… the one rule “no magic tricks.”
“What do you think ‘no magic tricks’ means?” I wondered out loud.
“Maybe Caine hates magicians?” Kat questioned with a sly grin.
Harmony chuckled, “Maybe… we should get out of here… people are starting to crowd.”
Kat and I nodded walking away from the paper sheet rules. We were walking around the plaza until we came to the back of the McDonalds. Orc and his friends were beating the shit out of the girl people called Bouncing Bette. The three of us stood there not sure what to do. I could feel the anger boil inside me and… in my hands? I looked to Harmony and Kat who looked just as scared and angry as me.
Howard, laughing, looked over to then looked down at my hands. I looked down too as he whispered something to Orc. I saw orange fire spilling from my fists and my eyes went wide. I looked back to Howard as I saw Orc rushing towards me with an angry look. My face flushed as I held my hands up waiting for his massive body to smash me.
Closed my eyes but nothing happened. I heard a scream then opened my eyes to everyone staring at me. I looked to Orc who was on the ground in front of me screaming due to a burnt hand. Before I knew it then Howard and Mallet were running towards me leaving the bleeding Bette on the ground.
*Kat’s P.O.V*
Oh my fucking god what just happened?!
Did Juliet have some sort of power like I do? She just burned Orc with flames from her hands! Howard and Mallet were now rushing after Juliet as she and Harmony stood frozen to the spot. I had to do something! I gritted my teeth not wanting to do what I was thinking. I had to.
I used the power I had to slap each of them in the face. I chuckled slightly as they didn't know where the invisible slap came from. I watched as Harmony fled the scene. What is she doing, I thought to myself giving each of the boys a blow to the stomach.
*Juliet’s P.O.V*
I stood there watching the three boys get an invisible beating. Howard was lifted into the air as if by a rope and dropped hard onto Orc. I looked over to Kat who looked to be struggling doing some weird thing with her hands. Mallet was then hoisted into the air as Kat flung her hand up. I watched as Kat used her hand to slap some one? Mallet’s head turned each way as if being slapped.
Wait was Kat…?
I didn't get to finish my thought as a roaring boom stopped the scene. Fuck, its Drake. I watched as he thundered is massive feet to the boys. The three cowered under Drake’s shadow as Kat and I started to walk off. We rounded the McDonalds sighing a major relief.
“Where’s Harmony?” I asked looking around.
“Uh…” Kat looked around as I did to.
Drake then came thundering back, and towards us. He rounded the McDonalds standing not an inch from us. Kat and I stood frozen as we stared into Drake’s eyes. Drake started to laugh then the laughed turned feminine. Drake’s stature slowly shrunk and his hair turned to a short dirty blonde with a blue streak through it.
It was Harmony?
Kat and I looked at each other as Harmony was now laughing, not Drake. “You guys should’ve seen yourselves! I thought you were gonna pee your pants!” Harmony laughed hard.
I slapped her, “WHAT”S WRONG WITH YOU?!”
She cleared her throat, “I can change you know… like those old books… what were they called… Anamorphous? Like you know, instead of turning into animal it can be anything! Now what’s with you?” She gave me a hard stare.
I wanted to throw my hands up but didn't want what just happened to happen again, “I don’t know!”
Kat raised her hand slightly, “I think I know… I think we all have powers.”
“What do you do?” I asked. “All I saw you do was moved your hands!”
She cleared her throat, “I'm telekinetic dumb ass. I think you’re pyrokinetic and Harmony is a morpher.”
Harmony and I went ‘ohhh!’ as Kat shook her head chuckling. What had become of us? Are we the only ones? We can’t be right? Maybe that’s what Caine meant by “no magic tricks.”
