Why do people even care about having a 'Social Life'? Now I don't mean why do they bother having friends, what I mean't was why is there this big competition for Most Popular? I see girls(and guys) at my school dressing up and acting cool just to be noticed. Like for example: This girl always wears designer clothing and has her hair all neat and sprayed to perfection. At school I tend to think of her as a snobby prep because that's how she looks and acts at school. But when I see her outside of school she's dressed regularly and her hair is normal. I just don't get it!
Then there's this whole thing about it matters who you date. Girls are always saying go for the one with muscles while guys are always saying go for the one with big boobs. I'm not saying that everyone does this, but a lot of those 'Too Popular for You' kids are.
Another thing I'd like to bring to attention is this whole thing about how your cool if you make someone elses life a living hell. Rumores are always spreading about people, and I'm talking about really nasty ones. I've ven had a few spread about me because all of my friends are boys.
One of them even caused a break up.
Hellow people! If you wan't to be so cool, why don't you just act like yourself and don't worry abuot what people think of you. I know everyone of you is insecure about something weather it's a strange mole or even what you look like without make-up. But seriously, when do you just wan't to say enough is enough? When you get a rumor spread about you? When you spread a rumor about someone and they get hurt by it so much that they commit suicide?
I understand I'm being harsh and pretty blunt about this but this whole popularity contest needs to stop, becaus in the end who does it really help? Sure you'd have loads of friends, but how do you know if their true friends? What if they're talking behind your back?
If you know what I mean then you understand why I've brought this up. Most of you won't listen to me and probably might say I'm just ranting about non-important stuff. I don't care. Popularity is not as important as others make it out to be, because when your popular, you have to watch your back twentyfour/seven just to make sure someone doesn't (figurativly) stab you in the back.
