It's the day after Christmas and I'm bored. Sitting around the house waiting for family to arrive from Michigan. Kind of hope I would get today without them, but they moved their departure day up. Don't get me wrong, I love my family, but they have a tendency to get on one's nerves. Still reeling from the three days in Oklahoma with my great aunt and uncle. I need a break from family.
Anyways, Christmas was good. The kids had fun and got a lot of toys and stuff. Just happy to see their smiles. My niece nearly choked me over a movie and my nephew hasn't quite gotten the concept of Santa yet, but they had fun. We spent the day at my Uncle's. He lit a fire and it was nice and warm, especially since it was cold and wet outside. We actually got snow which is a rarity. It was a nice holiday, just felt off without my grandmother this year, God bless her soul.
My mom got me a pocket sized, leather copy of The Hobbit. I love it. I showed it to her in the store and thought she put it back, but instead she pulled a fast one on me and got it for me for Christmas. I love it. I didn't put it down for a second yesterday. It's my favorite book. Now I want to see the movie.
Well, I'm back to waiting now. They should be here any time now. I think they just messaged my mom that they're in Nashville. They're almost here.I can't seem to muster any excitement about seeing them. Kind of just want to disappear for a while. Oh well, whatever, can't change anything about it. Later, peeps.
Redhead out.
Peace.
