Mauna Kea = Paradise!

So after two amazing shows in Japan, and a few weeks off, we're back at the practice space tightening up a few songs before we head back in the studio to finish up the record.

Getting a little bit of time off was good. Spent a week on Big Island. What a beautiful place. Paradise on Earth! Miss it already. Mauna Kea, thanks for letting me and my wife look at the stars...

Looks like it would make an awesome early morning hike! The great outdoors is relaxing indeed. The creaking sound of trees when the wind blows, bird sounds, and bright blue sky. Wish I was there... :/ On an odd note...be a cool start for a zombie movie... Woo hoo! Another Zombieland! Jus' kiddn'

I've always wanted to go to Japan. Their culture is admirable...and their mangas and anime.

get away from too much urban movement...I live in Honolulu...wooo sooo urban! Honolulu has multiple lane roads, tall buildings, and, what people hate the most, traffic, but the North Shore is a nice country place to get away from urban movement, in fact they were protesting against urban growth up there!

Aww, you're lucky to have gotten to go to Hawaii. I went there about 5 years ago, it really is a beautiful place. Wish I could've seen you in Japan, heard you were AMAZING. Hopefully you'll come to the U.K again soon, we miss you over here!

The lake district (googlemaps it if ye know it not) is probably not paradise but it is a beautiful place :)

I don't live on the Big Island, but...

I've been there a few times! Once during Christmas time as a child (I fell asleep on the hotel floor in the lobby) and recently for an uncles funeral (that uncle died from complications of a tumor removal). Those two trips were 15 years in difference, the island sure changed a lot during those 15 years, even my father didn't know his way around and he was born and raised there (Kona)!

I live a few islands away on Oahu where you and the band came on Dec 14, 2007. I heard from a clerk at Hot Topic Ala Moana that Gerard and Mikey popped in during your visit (for the show) at the time!
