Forgiveness Is Not For Sale (Part 8)

Frank yawned and took another sip of his coffee, he heard light footsteps behind him and shot up whipping out a silver dagger with a dark green handle. Arachna stood in the doorway with her eyes fixed on his blade.
“Sorry.” Frank mumbled slipping the dagger back into it's holster. “I thought you were someone else.” He said sitting back down.
“Don't worry about it, it's understandable.” She smiled taking a seat next to him.
“Where's Pyrissa?” Frank asked.
“I have no idea, we had a slight... disagreement last night and now she's gone.”
“Yeah, it's natural for siblings to fall out. Except for Gerard and Mikey, I have never known those two to argue or fight over anything, and I’ve known them for a long time now.” Frank said. Arachna giggled.
“Well me and Pyrissa are usually close but sometimes these things happen.”
“Well I wouldn't know.” Frank mumbled. “I lost my little sister a long time ago.”
“I'm sorry.” Arachna mumbled.
“She was all I had and she was taken by a demon hunter, who knows what happened to her, she's probably one herself now.” Arachna sighed and pulled Frank in for a hug.
“I'm always here for you.” She whispered leaning closer to him. A smile appeared on Frank’s face as he looked into her dark eyes.
“If you didn't have spider legs for hair, I’d go out with you in a second.” He said. Arachna sighed as the spider legs transformed into natural hair. “That's better, I can concentrate now.” He giggled. Arachna tutted and pressed her lips up against his.

Pyrissa screeched as she was thrown down to the floor, blood seeped out of the cuts on her face that soon healed.
“Had enough yet?” Pyrissa spat.
“Oh no, I'm just getting started.” Sphinx said leaping on top of her, she stuck her claws into Pyrissa's shoulder making her scream. “This is going to hurt me a lot more than it hurts you.” Sphinx said snapping her claws so they remained wedged in Pyrissa's shoulder, she tried to heal herself but the flesh couldn't meet. “And now...” Sphinx said as another pare of claws grew out of her fingers.
“Sphinx no!” Mikey shouted lowering her raised hand. “Don't sink to her level.”
“Mikey she tried to kill you.” Sphinx said trying to remain calm.
“She isn't worth it.” Suddenly his eyes flashed silver.
“Sphinx no it's a trap!” She turned around to see Pyrissa holding a blade to Mikey's throat.
“How did you get out?” Sphinx mumbled looking down at where Pyrissa once laid.
“Look out!” Mikey shouted. She turned around to see a tall guy with jet black hair and dark red skin, his once ivory horns had been snapped off and his dark blue eyes had yellow around the pupil. He hissed at Sphinx and attempted to punch her but she stepped to the side grabbing onto his fist and then flipped him to the ground placing the heal of her boot over his throat.
“Release Mikey or I kill him.” Sphinx growled. Pyrissa cackled and vanished taking Mikey with her, she soon reappeared floating over the bubbling acid stilling holding onto Mikey.
“Release him and I’ll let Mikey go.” Pyrissa smirked. Sphinx growled slowly taking her boot off the ex-demon's throat, he shot up off the floor and vanished through a black cloud of smoke.
“Now let him go!” Sphinx shouted.
“Fine. You want him? Come and get him!” Pyrissa spat releasing her grip on Mikey, he screamed as he fell further towards the acid.
“NO!!” Sphinx yelled diving off the edge of the cliff, her black wings took flight as she grabbed hold of Mikey before he hit the hot liquid, she flew back up to the top of the cliff holding Mikey close to her, he whimpered and he held on tight to her wing. Sphinx looked back up to see Pyrissa had vanished.
