I know that just because you do not like a musician's music, that does not give you a right to hate on him/her/them. However, when I came upon a couple of articles on Jay-Z publicly slamming the Occupy movement, all I felt is nothing but hate for this man because of his blatant and pathetic ignorance.

I've never liked Jay-Z's music, and I had never before felt a reason to hate him. But this...what the hell is he trying to say or portray?? First, he made profits for himself on the back of the Occupy movement, and now this...and this was coming from a guy who was from a poor background, who then went on to drug-dealing and then hit the jackpot through his hip-hop career, and I thought that he'd never forget his roots. Yes, I get his view on entrepreneurship, a lot of countries are built on this, but does he not understand that the Occupy people are angry with the bankers etc. for a reason? & the Occupy movement has never said that they were against entrepreneurs.
Oh right, I forgot, now that Mr. Jay-Z is a Mr. Multi-Millionaire, and being part of the 1%, he has forgotten/should forget where he came from, that he had been really poor once, or all the lives of families and lives he destroyed when he was a major DRUG DEALER back in the day? Or that he should have not try to see those people's points of view? And I agree with a lot of the comments on the articles, and as one asked...Hey J, was that drug dealing you did back in NYC entrepreneurship?? Just so you know, Mr. Jay-Z, the world does not revolve around you, there are millions of other people in the world, and a lot more things in the world that are WAY more valuable than you to the point of being priceless, e.g. the value of integrity, and there are a lot more issues that are WAY more important than you, e.g. world hunger and world peace?
Honestly, Mr. Jay-Z, I'd love to tell you to where to go, but seriously, do some serious bloody research before you opened your mouth and blabbed about something you don't truly know. As one comment said, you had a right to say that you did not understand the movement, but you should not have assigned a message to it and then knocked the message. On top of it all, you only made yourself into a scoundrel when you made profits for yourself with the OWS (and by the way, changing OWS to OAS made zero difference) tees, without any of them going to the Occupy movement. You did not have to support it, but still, you should not have exploited the movement for your own benefits. Have you no shame? You may have been poor growing up, but now you are just completely out of touch with the ordinary 99%, the ordinary working-class, and I may dare say you have no empathy for them. Next time, when you say you 'care' about a particular issue or subject, do not pretend you care, because actions always speak louder than words.
I really wish someone can educate you, and knocked some sense into your head, but considering that you are part of the 1%, and as the saying goes, 'You can't teach an old dog new tricks', I doubt you will ever really understand. Oh, Mr. Jay-Z, what a f***ing role model you are...
