I woke up this morning with a spring in my step, and then it was ruined when I turned on my laptop to surf the net, when I saw my friend's facebook status, and the many headline news on the web that Ian Watkins, the lead singer of the Welsh rock band--- Lostprophets, who was my huge teenage crush for the majority of my teenage years, one of my favourite all-time rock stars and one of my rock heroes, has been arrested on charges of child sex offences...

As you can imagine, I am still pretty shocked, and I still cannot believe that one of my favourite rock star heroes and teenage crush turned out to be a child sex offender. This was a guy who I've loved and looked up to ever since I first heard "Last Train Home" and "Wake Up" (Make a Move), and I've been collecting Lostprophets albums ever since, I even got their most recent one- "Weapons". My love for this guy was strengthened when I once read an interview in Kerrang! where Gerard said when he first met Ian, Ian was one real cool guy. I actually also met him once, and he was such a cool guy. :(
I am so disappointed, and I am feeling pretty ill and sick right now that I had such a huge crush on him. I also cannot begin to imagine what his bandmates must be thinking or feeling, and I really hope that it won't be the end for Lostprophets...
