God save the Queen...

So it's the Queen's diamond jubilee (60 years on the throne) today (or tomorrow, I forget) and I'm just wandering round the house wailing out the National Anthem. How is it that other countries have national anthems that actually MENTION their country? Ours doesn't have the word "Britain" or even "England" or anything in it AT ALL. It's all "God save our gracious Queen, long live our noble Queen, God save the Queen... send her victorious, happy and glorious, long to reign over us, GOD SAVE THE QUEEEENNN!" Thrilling, isn't it? It's got nothing to do with the people or our country at all. Don't get me wrong, I like the Queen. It's just... get us a real national anthem, please.
So there's loads of Diamond Jubilee street parties today. How quaint. I don't think I'll go to any of them, because this being Britain, it's raining as usual. I feel like I SHOULD go, but... meh.
How's the diamond jubilee for you guys?
