I write songs and sing alot. I never sang infront of anyone before. I want to sings when I grow up but people think it's stupid. Any advice on what I should do?
Pros:
I write good songs
It's what I want to do
I hate boring jobs like being a doctor or lawyer
I'm crazy enough to be as enerjetic as MCR on stage
Cons:
I don't know if I'm a good singer
It's nearly impossible to accomplish
People tell me to forget about it
Don't give me any of the "Well it's whatever you want to do" crap. Give me a yes or no please! I need help. Even if the singing doesn't work out, I'm taking guitar lessons! I want to sing when I grow up (in a rock band). If not that then play guitar (in a rock band). If not that, then be a writer. Help!

Haha, first and foremost I have to defend my day job because being a doctor is not boring at all - in fact i barely have time to be bored because we met lots of people in need so =D
Anyway, I was like you at one point. I have doubts but I tell you what, do BOTH at the same time! Okay, you probably dont want to be a doctor, but at least you have to have a college degree (in journalism or literature - because i noticed that your other interest is writing) to ensure that your future is secured if in case your music career is not as big as you want it to be.In the mean time, keep working on your music, keep singing (get a vocal coach, or buy some books on vocal training), keep your network, and most importantly - keep the faith in your music.And don't leave school or your job before you make it big. As long as you do that, success will be on your way. Hey, even Gerard Way started as an artist before his music career takes off,so good luck!
WOW mychemicalromance your not even a true mcr fan...the next version of mcr in girl form?!Yeah there is only one true version of mcr and it should NEVER be re done...EVER.I bet you'll never make it because of how mean and horrilbe you are...I suggest learning to act like a human first the learn to talk and then try to find some friends....

I believe you can if you do you have to put yourself out there and practise singing infront of people
put a video on youtube I have like 2 of me singing on youtube it scares the shit out of me that I'm on youtube singing xD but its kinda really cool and being on stage like that its like omGee nothing like you'll ever feel It's amazing its kinda like an addiction lol you'll want to go back up I promise you, so add up the you tube videos I really want to hear you sing
