I need advice. Please read this and help me out!!! PLEASE!!!

I write songs and sing alot. I never sang infront of anyone before. I want to sings when I grow up but people think it's stupid. Any advice on what I should do?

Pros:
I write good songs
It's what I want to do
I hate boring jobs like being a doctor or lawyer
I'm crazy enough to be as enerjetic as MCR on stage

Cons:
I don't know if I'm a good singer
It's nearly impossible to accomplish
People tell me to forget about it

Don't give me any of the "Well it's whatever you want to do" crap. Give me a yes or no please! I need help. Even if the singing doesn't work out, I'm taking guitar lessons! I want to sing when I grow up (in a rock band). If not that then play guitar (in a rock band). If not that, then be a writer. Help!
