MCR's new album: CDs?

I was surfing Youtube when I saw new MCR songs and I said "YES! New album!" and immediately Googled the release date. Google directed me here, but all I kept seeing was vinyl, vinyl, vinyl, and it scared me. I don't have a record player, so does this me there won't be any Conventional Weapons CDs? The thrill of holding a newly bought CD in my hands while walking out of best buy, I wouldn't trade that for the world, won't be the same as clicking "buy" on iTunes. Buy the time your kids will be old enough to appreciate music, what will you're iPod be? Nothing but a piece of wires in plastic and metal, sitting in some landfill and your computer will be a good bit of outdated, if not obsolete. Now, what will a CD be? It'll still be sitting on the shelf, right where you left it, waiting for you to pop open the case and slide the CD into the player. Is it too much to ask for a circular piece of polycarbonate? I think not.
