"Nothing you can do?" I asked
"No, Im so sorry". He said
I wanted to fall into a bottomless pit of death. I had lost my brother, who was also my best friend and the girl I loved who was also my best friend.
I ran out and ignored everyone including my mum. I ran out the doors into the cold wet rain.
It was jet black and I couldn't see two yards infront of myself. I had nothing left except Ray and Frank, I had nothing worth losing. Up ahead
I saw a pair of headlights something made me want to run infront of the car. Then I remembered how my mum would feel having no one and Ray
and
Frank losing three of their best friends. I pulled myself away and onto the sidewalk.
"Gerard!" Someone shouted, A car stopped right beside me for no one else except Ray, Frank and my mum to come out. They all ran and hugged me
"Stay strong" Ray said "Yeah Mikey would want you to be this way" Frank said "We all need to stay strong Mikey and Kelly wouldn't want us
to grieve for them" Mum said while we all were still hugging.
"Thanks guys but I want to walk home myself" I said
"Okay we all can understand that" Ray said. They all got back in the car and drove off waving. I was alone in the dark, It felt good I liked being on my own.
I reahed the end of the road and sat down, where Mikey had fell and broke his arm. I stayed for a while thinking about everything, By this
time I was extremly wet and cold. I got up and started waking again, The music blared from eery car that went past. I reached the doorstep of my
house, I walked in to be greeted by a hug from my mum. She hugged me so tightly and her tears pressed against my cheeks.
"You'll be okay, Trust me" I said
"Your so strong" Mum said
We pulled away, and I went upstairs. I pulled out my Song book and wrote a new song about losing loved ones, I entiled it Helena. The start was
so slow then it burst into it. I lay down and thought about life and the future. I fell asleep about an hour later,
"No!" I screamed as Mikey walked away into the building and disapperead, The blood splattered against the windows and a pale white body walked out.
He held hsnds with a Cold pale white girl.
"Gerard are you going to school?" My mum asked while I was still half asleep.
"Ermmmm..... Yeah i guess" I answered getting up. By the time I woke up my mum was gone, I walked over to my dresser and picked up a pair of
jet black skinny jeans and A loose High neked Black T-shirt and my Black converse. I was ready within five minutes, I went upstairs and picked up
a slice of toast. I was frightened by a bang on the door.
Ray walked in uninvitely,
"Hi" I said stuffing my face with toast
"Hey you ready to go yet?" He asked
"Yeah lets go" I said grabbing my bag.
We walked out the door and headed to the park.
"Are you sure about this?" Ray asked
"Yeah, I cant live knowing I haven't helped anyone" I said
We reached the park and dumped our bags in a huge bush.
"I quite nervous about this" Ray said
"Me too" I agreed
"But its too late to bak down" I said reahing townhall
"Yeah I guess" Ray said opening the door for me.
"Are you boys here to sign uo for the army too?" A woman asked us
"Yeah, where do we go?" We asked
"Over to the far corner where you will see the representitive for New Jersey" She said pointing to him.
"Thanks" I mumbled
"Hello boys are you ready to save your country?" A man asked
"Yeah" I answered
"We are" Rays said with a smile
"Right so heres a form fill it out then hand it in when your done" He said handing us a form.
I said-
1. What Gender are you? "Male" I said quietly Ticking the box
2. What is your name? "Gerard Gee Arthur Way" I wrote down
3. What age are you?" "18" I said quietly again writing it down
4. Why do you want to apply to the army? "Because, My brother and my best friend died and I cant live knowing I will not help someone" I wrote down.
5. Has your parent (s) agreed to this? "Yes" I wrote down lying
6. Do you have a criminal record? "No" I wrote down, not excactly remembering if I had ever got caught drinking in the cemetery
Me and Ray finished at the same time handing it in.
"Thankyou boys" The man said
"No problem" We replied
"So how you feeling now?" I asked him
"Not good, I have butterflies in my stomach and it dont feel good" He answered
"Me too!" I said
"Well I guess we have to wait until, The representitive tells us if we are in or not" Ray said
"Yeah I guess" I said taking a seat next to a small guy who looked really familier.
"Frank?" I asked
"Gerard!?" Frank said surprisingly
"What are you doing here?" Ray asked
"What are you doing here?" Frank asked
"You first" I said
"Well, Since I dropped out of school I wanted to help people so I came and signed up for the army you?" He said
"I want to because Mikey and Kelly died and I can't go through life knowing I haven't helped anyone" I said
"Yeah me too" Ray said
"Well I guess that we migt be going out to war together" Frank said
"Yeah I guess" I said as The Jersey representitive stood infront of us all on the tiny stage.
"Good Morning, I am the New Jersey represntitive and I would like you to stand up in the following order: Terry O'Brian, Frank Iero, Ray Toro,
Erica Reid, Danielle Newman and Gerard Way".
We all stood up, and looked at each other In fear.
"Congradultions you people have been chose from the one hundred people sitting here, You have four Days to say goodbye to your love one and Pack your bags.
Me and Ray looked at each other, I could tell he was worried. Frank looked happy though.
"Hey Gerard, Did you tell your mum?" Frank asked as we walked to the park
"No and I still dont know what to say to her" I said
"Ohhhh your a deadman!, How about you Ray?" Frank asked
"Well you see i'm on the Same side as Gerard but my dad will find out considering the fat he works at the post office and all the people talk about is gossip" Ray said
"Well you guys are good, My dad was happy for me when I told him, I think he wants rid of me" Frank said.
We all laughed and picked up our bags.
"Well where do we go now?" I asked
"School I guess" Ray said
"Oh come on, Have fun and come for a beer!" Frank said pulling a beer from his bag.
"Well I guess one couldn't hurt" I said taking one from him
"Yeah I guess so" Ray said opening his
"So how you going to tell your mum?" Frank asked
"Well im going to leave her a note on the day we leave" I said
"Gerard thats just sick!" Ray said
"Yeah I know but still come on I have no other choice!" I said
"True any other way you'de be dead before you go" Ray and Frank said
