Fan war time!!! (Not really)

Okay, so, yeah. I'm pissed off. And I have a (vaguely) good reason: FAN RIVALRY. Why does this shit exist?! You get two bands - they might both be awesome, both be crap, one be good or whatever - and for some unknown reason their fans hate each-other. Why is this? I'll never understand.
For example, when I go onto YouTube to watch Slipknot stuff, I see quite a few "this is soooo much more meaningful than that MCR crap" or "haha MCR are posers this is proper music" and all that fucking bullshit. WHY. I love both bands, and I don't see why people have to fight all the time. At least it's not as bad as the Slipknot/Mushroomhead rivalry...jeez.
Black Veil Brides is a massive issue for this kinda stuff, too. I'll be watching, let's say, Knives and Pens, and there's gonna be like half the page full of hate comments. But it's not just BVB haters; the BVB army has a tendency to hate on other bands or artists. It's terrible, honestly.
But yeah, the list goes on. Basically, does anyone else get annoyed with this?
