Try out some of my local bands. Elemeno P and Shihad are awesome, they're from NZ (although I think Shihad is based in Australia atm), their style might suit you!

New music you can try out would be: Muse, Linkin Park, Paramore, Breaking Benjamin, The Red Jumsuit Apparatus, The Used, 30 Seconds to Mars, Papa Roach (new album=not so good/ older stuff=ownage!!!) Avenged Sevenfold, Hoobastank (the reason is the best song of em!) Green Day, Disturbed, System of A Down, Payable on Death, Evanecences (sp?), MAN! that is so much I can think about Hope that helped!
