flash fiction

*as i said earlier i wanted to post my flash fiction on here (less then 400 words), so here it is tell me what you think*

Battery city. A place of brainwashed, lifeless minions to the terrible and stupid Better living industries, yeah how ironic is that and their leader Korse. It used to be a peaceful, kind place full of freedom until the 2012 invasion and then instantly a place of creativity is now a place of mindless chores, orders and routine which I despise. I forgot to introduce myself, the name’s Rosie but if you call me that I’ll personally rip your eyeballs, you call me Blood Bunny it’s my killjoy name. Yes I’m one of the killjoys, a band of people that fight to take down Bli and the corporate dictatorship and bring back the freedom of the old days. As I tell you this I’m driving my spray-painted 4x4 with my comrades Silent Static and Dead Bride as we race down the alleyways of Battery city, away from the watching eyes of Bli with Korse and his mindless minions following closely behind. I turn a corner and there it is.

Dead end.

Next thing I know I get a blow to the back of my head and get shoved into a white van with my comrades. I awaken to the cold, plain stone walls of a cell in darkness, I explore my surroundings. I trip over a body. Which under closer inspection is Silent Static, I touch her body slightly, and she’s cold. She’s dead. I edge back slowly trying to realise that my best friend is now ghosted, passed on, dead. I continue to inspect my surroundings in greater detail and then trip over another body, which I then realise, is Dead Bride, I touch her body. Also dead. As I hear footsteps getting closer to the cell door, I quickly go to the spot where I had woken up in the first place and pretend to be unconscious. With one eye open I see the door open greeting a blinding light; I then see Korse and his minions who are tying me to a chair. After the silence Korse speaks.
“Goodbye Rosie” and with that he pulls the trigger of his ray-gun that fires a blinding white light that hits my chest. My life flashes before my eyes; the up’s and down’s including the taunts I have suffered. This is the end. As the blackness overcomes me I then realise one thing I was taught ages ago.

Killjoys never die.
