Wishing for La La Land Chapter 5!

(Dedicated to Frank Iero!)
It was finally lunch. The busy public school milled around the cafeteria, buying lunch, or sitting down with their own. Maddie, Asriel, and Lana all sat down at the table with their own containers. The boys were all buying their lunches today.
“The coast is clear, guys.” Lana whispered to the two. They both nodded. Almost in sync, they waved their hands over the containers that were really empty a second ago.
When the boys got back with their trays, Lana and Asriel were eating on nice and hot pieces of lasagna. Maddie was munching on some rice.
“Wow, you're so lucky. How did you get them so hot?” Mikey said, sitting across from Lana. She grinned.
“We have connections.” She said. Asriel and Maddie laughed.
“I don't get it....” Gerard said, confused, as he stared loathing at the ugly looking school food.
“Can I get in on the secret?” Frank asked, eagerly.
“Hmmm, no.” Maddie said. Frank looked down, then looked up at her with his shining puppy-dog eyes.
“Aww. Don't make poor Frankie Wankie go through the torture of cold food!” Ray said. Maddie hesitated....then looked at Asriel. Asriel winked and nodded, and Maddie smiled at Frank.
“Fine. You bring food tomorrow, and I think I can make something work.” She said.
Frank grinned up at her. “You're so awesome.” He said, before starting to chug down the soda that he had bought to go along with his “food” if that's what one could call it.
“So, I'm guessing you've all known each-other for a while?” Gerard said, moving his fork around what he assumed could be applesauce.
“Yeah, we're all about the same age. We have been going to school together since....what, second grade?” Ray said. Asriel nodded.
“Yeah, it was so weird. It was like, just Ray and I for two years, and then they found you three out in the desert...” Frank said, shoving what might be pickles in his mouth. Maddie wrinkled her nose. Frank wasn't a picky eater. As long as it wasn't meat, he was good.
“In the desert?” Mikey gasped, looking at Lana, especially. She blushed a little under his gaze, and not to meet his eyes.
“Yeah. It was weird. All over the news. It was, like, around where the oh so famous crash was, too.” Ray said.
“Oooooh. You might be aliens!” Frank said, wiggling his fingers at the girls. Maddie blushed.
“Ugh! Not again! Guys!” Asriel said, rolling her eyes.
“What? It's a possibility.” Ray said, shrugging before biting into his PB&J.
“Uh...huh...” Gerard said, a little awkwardly. Mikey snickered.
“What a group to join for lunch, huh?” Mikey asked Gerard.
“I guess.” Gerard shrugged, looking longingly at the lasagna that Lana had almost finished, before going back to try and eat what he could from the pile of waste on his plate.
“Anyways, you couldn't be aliens, because you're so young.” Mikey said.
“Yeah, and the crash was, like, 50 years ago.” Frank said.
“Glad you guys caught up.” Ray said, rolling his eyes.
“Hey! I'm NOT a complete idiot.” Frank complained.
“Not completely.” Ray laughed, “Just mostly.
“HEY!” Frank complained, as everyone else laughed.
