Lana put the finishing touches on her make-up excitedly. This was going to be her first date with John. John...she had been best friends with John since kindergarten. She was humming happily to herself as she walked out of her room, picking up her leather coat.
“Someone's happy...” Asriel said. She was wearing a beautiful red blouse that had long sleeves and a black ribbon lacing up her front. She had on black skinny jeans under it. Her hair, curly and red, made her green eyes shine even more. She wore gold ear-rings and bangles. She looked like a fire-goddess. Lana smiled.
“Wow....you...look...” She said, her purple eyes shining.
“Now, don't steal Ray's lines.” Asriel winked. “You don't look bad yourself. Excited to see John?” she asked her sister.
“Yeah.” Lana blushed. Asriel looked her sister over again. She was wearing a black vest over a lacy blue long-sleeved shirt, and black leather pants. Her boots made her just a bit taller then Asriel, and clicked as she walked over to grab a cup of coffee as they waited.
“You know, I never thought he would ever as me out. I wonder what changed his mind.” She said, shrugging as she sipped her coffee.
“I don't know...” Asriel said suspiciously, tugging on her lip a little.
Then there was a knock at the door. Asriel opened it to see her amazing Ray of Light. She smiled up at him, and he took her hand kissing it.
“Hello, malady. You look amazing.” He said. His hand slid up her arm and he cupped her small chin in his warm hand, and pulled her in for a long, passionate kiss.
“Get a room.” Lana mumbled.
They just ignored her, until another car parked outside the girl's apartment.
It was John. He tugged on his leather jacket nervously. He really was going to take Lana on a date? He was so nervous. He didn't even know if he was doing this for his dad, or for himself anymore. He walked up to see Ray and Asriel kissing. “Yep. For my dad.” He said to himself, internally. They both blushed and walked inside, holding hands and staring deeply into each other's eyes. Then, Lana walked out, with all her grace and beauty, and John cleared his throat and absentmindedly pulled at his collar. Maybe it was more for himself after all. Lana smiled brightly as she saw him, holding a cup of nice smelling coffee in her hands. John smiled. Oh how Lana loved her coffee.
“Hey John! Shall we be on our way to the Silver Lining?” She asked. John smiled and nodded, looking at Lana's eyes and feeling very confident.
They all walked out of the apartment, hand in hand. Since the girls lived very near the Silver Lining, they didn't need to take any cars. They walked down a couple of streets, chattering and laughing at each other.
Mikey, slowly walking to the Silver Lining, spotted Lana and John as they walked across the ally-ways. He kept a low profile, leather jacket, tennis shoes, and skinny jeans. He followed them slowly, but steadily through their walked. As they were nearing the last bend to the Silver Lining, they ran into two large, drunk men outside a pub, arguing.
“I mean it, Billy, if I don't get the money now, I swear, I'll...” one with dark black hair said. He looked a bit older then the other one, who was a red-head.
“Or what? You don't got nothin on me, Richie.” The other sneered.
But apparently, Richie did have something on himself. He pulled out a silver pistol. Mikey gasped quietly. He was frozen in shock, and so were the four other teens, just walking into the ally. They all froze.
“And who are you four?” Richie asked, turning toward the teens. Billy took this chance to run off. Richie caught him leaving, and turned back at the four teens. He was definitely angry now. Mikey knew he should do something, but he couldn't get his legs to move, or his lips.
“We...we...” Lana said, shakily. Suddenly, Ray and John were in front of the girls, guarding them. The girls backed away a little.
“Leave them alone.” Ray said. He held out a hand. “You don't want to do that, give me the gun.” He said. Richie sneered.
“To a 'ittle boy like 'ou? No!” He said, his words slurring more, and his posture becoming worse as the alcohol was getting to his head. Ray held out his hand more, imploringly. Mikey looked at his new friend, incredulous. Wasn't he making a mistake?
“NO!” Richie said, and pointed the gun at Ray, his finger knocking into the trigger as his hands shook.
“Ray!” Asriel screamed.
“John!” Lana yelled at the same time. John had jumped in front of Ray, his lower stomach being hit by the bullet as it ran though him and right into Ray.
The two boys fell to the dirty ground. Asriel and Lana ran to them, tears in their eyes.
“Lana, I can't let him...” Asriel said. Mikey looked at them, fear and terror, and also misery going through him. One of his new best friends were going to die, and he couldn't move a muscle.
“Asriel.” Lana cautioned, but then looked at John. He was losing blood rapidly. Asriel looked at Ray, and then Lana, her face almost drenched in tears. Lana realized she was crying, also. She nodded to Asriel, and they both placed a hand on where their boys were injured. All four of their breathing grew rapid, and then the girls released their hands from the boy's chests. They all stood up.
Mikey's eyes widened in shock as he realized what was going on. They were healed. But how? How did that happen? How in the world COULD that happen?
“Asriel....” Ray said, looking at her with shocked eyes, he lifted up his shirt to reveal his stomach in tact, but with a glowing silver hand-print on it. Asriel's eyes widened, and she gulped.
John looked down at his stomach to see the same glowing hand-print from Lana's delicate hands.
“What.....” Ray said, slowly.
“What DID YOU GUYS DO!?!” Mikey yelled, finally getting his voice back.
