I finally got my first MCR shirt!!!! We (my school's marching band) stopped at the mall to eat on the way to a football game last night (the football game was two freaking hours away), and the mall had a Hot Topic. After we were done eating my friend DJ wanted to go in and look around even though we knew we didn't have enough money to afford anything in there. So we walked in and went straight to the Gir stuff, which was all like thirty dollars or more, and then we went to the back where all the different band t-shirts are. I found a Doors LA Woman t-shirt that was pretty cool, and I kind of wanted it but only had eleven dollars because Sbarro's pizza is freaking expensive. So I kept walking, and then I saw it. It was folded, so all I could read was "hemical". I started FREAKING OUT. I reached out and grabbed DJ's arm so tight I think maybe I cut off circulation. I picked it up, and, sure enough, it was My Chemical Romance's "Welcome to Boo-tiful Newark, NJ" t-shirt. It was twenty-two dollars with tax. I almost cried. I showed it to my friend Amber, who knows how much I like MCR, and was like "I can't BELIEVE I found one and can't get it. Maybe I can come back sometime and get it..." but I knew my mom wouldn't take me all the way to Huntsville to Hot Topic so I could get it. Amber pulled out her wallet and said "How much do you have?" I just kinda stared at her for a minute and then I said "Wait, what? What do you mean?" She said again "How much do you have?" I checked and said "Eleven dollars." She took out eleven and gave it to me, and told me to go buy the shirt. I was like "No, you shouldn't pay for me." and she said "I'm not paying for you, I'm helping a friend." She pretty much forced me to take the money and go buy the shirt. Now I have my first MCR shirt ever!!! I'm gonna have to go do some work for my grandmother to pay her back, probably, but I don't care. It was worth it. I love my friends. :)
