Room Transformation

Hey everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween and Thanksgiving! And for those who went out on Black Friday without getting killed, congrats. I stayed home. Well, this isn't what I wanted to talk to you about, so I'll get back on topic.

Okay, here's the deal. Awhile back, my mom proposed the idea of replacing my carpet floors with a floating floor- no underpad required; just cut your length, snap off the excess, and glue it to the previous piece! It took at least a week since my dad had a job and could only do it at night for a couple hours. We also decided to repaint my walls while everything was out and there was no floor except for the bare concrete of the foundation.

I hauled everything in my room out within six hours about a month ago, and we pulled up the carpet the next day. Then we painted the walls and I now have a dark blue feature wall. We then proceeded to lay the floor down and for nearly a week, I slept on our four seater sofa in the living room. I've slept on it before when it was still at my great grandmother's house (in which I spent half my childhood weekends and Christmases) and it had the old pink fabric on it. Pretty easy to sleep on.

Then we bought some bed lifts and put my bed back with my entertainment shelf and bookshelves (now bookSHELF due to nailing one on top of the other). I was then able to put my desk in, though I could not connect my computer yet. I did put my books and jewelry box back on the shelf though!

And just yesterday we put my CD/DVD towers back up and I was able to put my music and movies back up. And finally- tonight we hooked my computer and stereo up. I'm currently listening to Anberlin. All that's left are my 4 game consoles, though I will soon dispense of 2. It will be a hard decision.

For the meantime I am confident my room is 75% complete due to plucking things not needed in my room anymore and am probably 50% done with that. Have a good night and sleep well!

Go Texans, Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!
